When I went trick or treating for the first time in the US I kicked a man in the crotch that was dressed as a robot that was following me.
I was eight.

My speculation for the next movie while similar to most posts I read does vary in some points but very minimal points. Instead of explain everything i’ll just go to the point.
1. Hikari thinking the reboot might of being a good thing gives me the vibe that Gennai and Yggdrasil will try or succeed in convincing her that it is a good thing.
Sadly Hikari has a bad habit of seeing the good in everyone and while maybe it is a good thing she knows that many Digimon will be affected by the changes.
But if they brought Wizardmon back, like if instead of letting her focus on the bad side affects of the Reboot they showed her all the “good” it did I can almost swear Hikari would be hesitant and probably for a little while try to find a way to help them within the group.
We know that she’s light and that it’s been said she’s the only one of the group that can understand this entities and we already saw that Homeostasis is back in a way so I really don’t know but it be pretty interesting to see Hikari’s points and mindset put to the test.
2. While not being ever mentioned in the series so far its fairly clear Meiko has insecurities, self doubt and probably a lot of depression.
Since the poster shows both of them I actually think that possibly the Dark Ocean or just Darkness might come after Meiko and Hikari being the only one that has gone back forth between it (besides Ken) will have to face the Darkness to save her friend.
I know there’s a line in one of the movies that said that. That light would get swallowed by darkness or face darkness I don’t really remember what scene but It was in the last movie. Like this could hit so many points. Hikari would stop following and take charge.
She would stop depending on Taichi and Takeru and proof to herself that while its nice to have them with her and know she can count on them I would love for her to take a stand for herself and just go on full hero.
She’s always been the one saved from Darkness because of her fear of it so going to save someone herself would be such a JUMP in her personality and her development that it be great for her to just finally let go of Taichi.
and finally.
3. Hikari slapping Taichi. and yes I mean slapping. Slapping and punching those you love and worry about in Digimon specially Adventure and 02 have always been signs of love and affection.
To snap that person you care about that’s so down in their hate and their self doubt that the shock of it coming from someone that’s always been there for them just makes them realize that they need to stop holding everything over their shoulders and cry but instead move and shake things off.
I’ve been so frustrated with Hikari not saying anything to Taichi like, I know he’s her big brother and basically perfect in her eyes but it goes against all her morals and her previous characterization where she actually told her opinions and talked about them.
Hikari slapping Taichi would snap him out of everything he’s worrying about that while I completely understand him it’s just not the time to stand back and doubtful specially not with what just happened. Hikari slapping Taichi would be like her opening her eyes and realizing her brother needs something or someone to just wake him up.
Idk I just hope it gives us something about how Meiko is special and the obvious parallels with Hikari and just please stop putting these lovely strong ladies under the maiden cap and let them be their own heroes.
Maybe its because i’m biased or because I loved the darkness tunnels in season 01 or The Dark Ocean in season 02 but I swear I SWEAR TO HELL AND BACK if it doesn’t even get mentioned on the next movies imma flip my shit.
I love how all the characters have done something in the movies my favorites being Jyou, Mimi, Sora and Yamato. Like everyone has a place a roll a reason.
Everyone BUT Hikari.
The best thing she’s done was.. scream at Jyou to go back to Gomamon and that was a huge step for both of them and then getting controlled by that entity for the reboot to even take root and that always was amazing for plot advancement because we know she’s the only one opened enough to get taken over but other then that.. she hasn’t shown any reason to be in the movies and that....
Bothers me??? Like i’m biased and I know there’s a reason but she doesn’t even get a lot of speaking lines and just
