Twilight groaned as he stirred. Opening his eyes, he was met with a stone floor. “What?” Pushing himself onto his elbows, Twilight looked around. His brothers lay sprawled out around him. They were in an old cell; the floor was cracked, the metal bars rusted and bent in some places; what Twi could see outside of the cage looked like any people hadn't seen it in a long time; browning grass sprouted from the cracked floor, vines climbed down the walls, a layer of gray dust covered the floor.
“What the hell?” The heroes all started waking up, slowly getting to their feet and looking around in confusion.
“Where are we?” Legend asked, going up to the bars and rattling them to test their durability.
“Well, look who's finally awake. It took you long enough.” Twilight quietly gasped as a shadow broke away from the others and crept along the wall. Sliding to the floor, the shadow started rising, forming a blob that quickly turned into a humanoid figure.
“Oh?” The shadow paused, his red eyes widening slightly before a bright white smile split the bitch blackness of his face, “Who are you gorgeous?” Twilight felt his face heat up as those beautiful blood-red eyes focused solely on him.
“I’m… ah- um…” Twilight stammered, his brain suddenly feeling like it had turned into mush.
“None of your damn business Dark!” Warriors said, storming up to the bars to yell in Dark’s face.
“ Fine , whatever, I’ll leave you to yourselves.” Scoffing, the shadow did what looked like an eye roll. Hopefully, later, I’ll be able to meet the stunning new addition to this chain.” With a smile that made Twilight’s insides melt, the shadow melted back into the ground and disappeared.
“What was that about?” Four asked, looking at where the shadow was seconds prior.
“Oh, my goddess Twilight! Are you blushing?!” Suddenly, eight pairs of eyes fixated on Twilight, making the heat in his face even worse.
“Quit your judging Legend! Y’all ain't never told me how attractive our enemy was!” Twilight quipped back, covering his cheeks in a futile attempt to hide their burning color.
“Attractive?! He’s a fricken shadow ! He’ll literally a black, vaguely human-shaped blob!”
“Twi, your taste in men is so weird ,”
