5. What aspects of your personality and beliefs go into your fiction?
Hmmmmmm. It varies depending on what I'm writing, but often - light-heartedness. I kind of grew up thinking that you had to write very classically, very structured, with lots of descriptions of things and great prose, possibly because I read a lot of classics as a kid.
It's only really in the last five years that I've completely given up on that, because that's not how I write at all. I'm a blunt person with an eye for the broad picture rather than details and I enjoy little quirky things and that's what my writing looks like.
My personal beliefs only tend to come out if they match up with a character's beliefs, I think?
8. Give out some writing advice!
I see a lot of posts about pushing through writers' block or maintaining a steady writing schedule or writing something, anything, even if you don't feel like it. I think that's crap.
If you enjoy writing, write. If you don't - don't. There is not enough time in the world to be doing things you don't enjoy, especially if it's fanfic, yikes. Unless you're a professional writer/journalist/etc being paid and with deadlines: this is something I do to relax and enjoy myself. I mean, I wouldn't read a book I wasn't enjoying, so why would I write one?
