My Darren Show Experience
Sorry this is long but i dont want to forget this day! (: Its also very late but i had written the start of it last week and saved it to drafts and then just kept adding pieces when i felt like it so now its over a week late and i feel stupid xD Have fun to the 2 people that are gonna read this! Oh and it isnt letting me put it under a cut so SORRY FOR POLLUTING YOUR DASH.
Very early on the morning of Tuesday 5th July I got up from my nice cost warm bed in Northern Ireland to catch a plane to London! But I was running late and it was very stressful! I made it though, obviously, otherwise why would i be writing this?!
Anyway, I got into London and went straight to the borderline where there were already a LOT of people... So I checked to see if I needed a number (cause the ST people were giving them out it keep it fair) so i texted Lizze (someone from the UK street team) to see where they were to get a number but at that point 100+ people had already arrived for the matinee. So I went back to my hotel and freshened up and made my way back to the venue!
I then texted Lizzie again to see where she was but at this point they had separated into two queues, one for evening and one for matinee, so I couldn't join the ST :'( instead I rang Daisy and met with her which is when I met the MOST BEAUTIFUL, AMAZING PERSON EVER, Rosie <3 and the rest of the queue crew (try saying that ten times in a row) who are all SUPERMEGAFOXYAWESOMEHOT. We talked about Glee live, Tumblr stuff, Starkid and all things Darren-related. Oh and we joined the sing-a-longs to! Which were amazing cause I just loved that so many people that knew all the songs were in one place, cause like in school and stuff people don't know them :'(
It only hit us that we were going to see Darren LIKE ON STAGE, IN FRONT OF US, IN REAL LIFE when we started moving into the venue. The first show was flawless and amazing an everything I could have wished for! We sang along with Darren, and didn't when he told us to shut up, we shouted song lyrics at him and song suggestions. Hell, we even blew bubbles. We basically had the time of our lives!
When it was over (and the depression kicked in) we got kicked out of the venue and we were only half way down the ally when we heard screams again so we turned round only to find JOE WALKER had come out of the venue. So we fangirled over him! And tried to get him to sign things and get a picture with him, but so many people were pushing and not being fair, so I didnt manage to get anything but I just admired him from afar which in my opinion is just as good!
When all the hype over Joe ended me and Rosie (abeautifulchaos) were over talking with Katie (singingtogetherinperfectharmony) and my dad was there and when Katie came over she had brought her dad over and my dad and her dad knew eachother from talking while they were waiting on us in the queue earlier. We were like WOAH MINDFUCK! LOL Anyway the topic of tickets for the evening show came up and we tried to bribe Katie to let us buy hers but nooooo :L so I then persuaded my dad to let us go ask in the queue for tickets and he, thinking we wouldn't get any, agreed!
So off me and Rosie went asking from the very top of the queue if anyone had any or knew of anyone that had spare tickets. We also struck up conversation with some people randomly so as not to look like creeps and halfway down we found one! ...one, singular, there were two of us so we were like "Do you want it?" "I don't mind" "I think you should have it" and the other was like "No but I don't wanna go if your not going" and so we just kept going and got to a couple of people before the end of the queue and we were like "this isnt happening" "you can take it if you like" then we got to the very last people that were in the queue and... nothing. Resulting in heartbroken me and Rosie, BUT there were people standing on the other side of the archway where to queue ended and we thought we may aswell ask them if they were queueing and THEY WERE AND THEY HAD A SPARE TICKET. WE FANGIRLED LIKE CRAZY AND GOT BOTH THE TICKETS.
We then joined the queue with friends we made earlier and we were in, seeing Darren Criss for the second time in one day, it was madness, and the fact that we werent expecting to be at the second one made it even more special when we were there.
We were closer this time, sung along, shouted lyrics, blew bubbles that Darren could see this time! And had once again the time of our life's!
It was the best day of my life. And I'll never forget it.
