Meet your shells, Michelle! She misses her natural habitat but misses the loss she mourns much more, the ocean can be substituted for a bit of darkness and River but knowing that soft creature in your care is forever gone is a pain much deeper. She was made to protect them, a part of her is forever gone, the one who depended on her and she grieves that with a passion. Will you help her find the luster in life again? Or will you tell this bereaved beauty she’s washed up?

Her route would involve you helping her slowly build more of a support network, have her engage in activities she enjoys again, make friends. I’d imagine that it would be a slow but gradual storyline. You don’t fix her or her grief, that’s not your place but you can be her rock against crashing waves. It’s also important that you aren’t the only one, it gives off trying to take advantage of her. Don’t get it twisted though she is very much interested in you, she’s a much more organic object than most of the others
