The Moment, then my heart died and resurrected again

So I’m marathoning Kommissar Rex which is probably my favourite cop show ever and sometimes I just cant get over how much Rex’s partners love him. Like in the episode with Davide’s ex-fiancee. She’s being stalked and threatened, right, and after he finds her when she crashes her car and takes her home, he realises Rex is missing and runs to find him.

Like that is so huge?? Here is a woman he obviously cares about (and even if he didnt know her personally, he still cares about protecting innocent people), moments after she’s been in a car crash, she’s hurt and there’s a threath to her life and he just dumps her alone in her house the moment he realises Rex is gone and doesnt even have reason to think the dog is any immeadiate danger, he just thinks Rex ran after her and got lost. And yet he goes to look for him without a single moment’s hesitation. While the lady gets kidnapped.

And later on when those criminals take Rex and make him go feral, he outright tells one of the bad guys that if he cant get Rex back, he’ll kill them.

I just really love seeing such bonds between animals and humans. It’s precious. And Rex and Davide are so sweet, I love their relationship so much.

On a side note, how is everyone liking new recruit Commissario Davide Rivera (Ettore Bassi)? It was terribly sad to say goodbye to Fabbri, but I think Rivera is fitting in quite nicely myself. :)
