day sixty-four- his eyes were a weird but welcome creative choice
(requested by anon)
Small babe and mother,
Found amongst the trees,
Soiled in blood and dirt.
Two souls lost in the world,
Clinging to each other in the night
Fragile bodies, vulnerable to the winds.
Touching the mothers heart,
He asked to save the girl she held,
At the cost of her dwindling life.
"please" was all she said
...and so, with the fight against pillows and the safe soundly won and the problems that will likely cause put off until January, the fight now becomes: how to transport the suitcase, backpack, and travel bag... down to the ground floor from the fourth, to a cab, and onto a bus.
This humble academic rodent will be appealing to heaven for help in that department.
Day Sixty-Four
So I fell asleep at a friend’s house and didn’t leave there until 1ish. Then there were some... let’s just say... delays between there and my bed. So this is kinda late and will be a bit short.
It hit me hard today just how much I’m going to miss the friends I made this summer. I’ve never before had to share this much this quickly and it’s definitely brought me closer into this knot of God’s family. I’ve been really well cared for. The thought of leaving this behind saddens me. We’ll probably still be facebook friends and maybe communicate every so often, but it won’t be like this again. That’s okay, but it’s sad.
This morning was a gentler continuation of last night, which sucked, but I found something I needed to look into and decide today, so I spent several hours on the internet, but with a purpose. It felt good it get something done. Especially something that needed done.
Abba, thank You for the friendships I have made this summer. Thank You for blessing me through Your servants, I hope I blessed them in return. Please lighten the loads of my friends. Comfort them, ease their stress and worry, convince them to lay it all down at Your feet. Ease the pain of the suffering, and make their paths clear. Amen.

Das schönste an einem Konzert ist, wenn der Dirigent sichtbar zufrieden ist und das Publikum nach dem Schlussakkord in tosenden Beifall ausbricht.

Today the first group of schools came to work with our equipment and oh my god it was terrifying.
First off they were rude. Second off, they were rude.
Also our equipment is old as balls and I’m hardly an expert, so when things went wrong I had to call for help. I felt really bad having to do that, but it wasn’t so bad and it can’t get worse.
Afterwards I got to watch J perform and it made me relax and be happy. He’s so cute.
Music Friday #3
Day Sixty-Four.
So this week’s song is Work Song by Hozier. I heard this song in a trailer for The Longest Ride tonight when I went to the movies and I was reminded of my road trip down the West Coast that I took in January. Good song with great memories. Check it out!
What songs are y’all listening to this week? Let me know!
Until…
