Today was alright as far as days go.

I had a bit of a late start to the day, but I managed to make breakfast and go to work for about two hours. I finished off some powerpoints and prepping some activities to prepare my students for the intra-school speech contest. The requirements and details for the event have changed yet again, so I feel pretty ‘meh’ about the whole affair. I’ll just try to prepare my students as much as possible before next week.

H and another one of my colleagues, EV, were at work too catching up on some things. If EV hadn’t been at work too, I might’ve had a heart-to-heart with H and leveled with her about all my struggles of late. But the moment passed. And in any case, what difference would it make? I’ve given my notice at work, maybe it’s just time to put all my past mistakes behind me and move on.

I met AW after that for coffee at Starbucks. It was nice to see him again after nearly two months. He’s also trying to figure out whether he’ll stay in our city or change jobs too and move somewhere else. He’s a nice guy and I hope he’ll be able to realise all of his plans. I mostly listened to him talk about political events and reminisce about dating in his university days, I had a slight headache. But I’m glad we could have a relaxing evening together just catching up.

I feel pretty tired today and my limbs hurt from whaling on my punching bag last night. I should probably stretch more after workouts. It’s getting increasingly harder to do productive things at home and at work, I’m just so sleepy these days.

I hope I can sleep well enough and put all thoughts of X out of my head for a few hours. All that talk about dating with AW earlier got me thinking too much about whether I’ll be ever give my heart away again so freely like I did with X.

Probably not, but stranger things have happened.
