He regards Connor in silence for a moment, eyebrows rising higher on his forehead, eyes blinking once, twice. Kamski's lips thin, hiding the Cheshire smile already halfway formed, but only just, and he tilts his head to the side as if that might help him understand Connor.

"I could have. Yes."

Almost all at once, he turns away, reaching for the towel set on top of the transparent glass desk and patting it against his neck, up along the edges of his hairline. As if he no longer has any interest in Connor, or this exchange, the android's innocent face blank, meant to look unassuming and of no danger to anyone.

When he speaks, there are traces of the eager and awkward youth he once was; despite all the speech therapy, he sometimes still sounds like he's talking with a mouthful of marbles -- but like he's elegant about it.

"But what would you have learned from it, Connor? What would anyone have learned from it, besides my unique capability to produce technological g-dhood?"

A soft snrk, just short of a full snort.

"But they already know that."

fyi i’m gonna tag ‘detriot: become human’ stuff with ‘dbh tw’ bc i’ve got a jewish follower who is v. uncomfortable with it which i absolutely get

the android uniform is an incredibly blatant reference to jews during the holocaust, used in an incredibly tropey and hamfisted analogy for oppression, and heck, it rubs me the wrong way too

so yeh thats why im doing that and also i guess, a warning about dbh as well if you were considering watching it
