Flufftober 2024: Day 12

Piccolo x Reader; "All I want is to wake up next to you for the rest of my life."

Standing in the kitchen wearing one of Piccolo's old capes like a blanket, you were trying to cook breakfast. Your half-asleep mind going too fast as you prepped a second plate for your alien lover.

"As much as I appreciate the thought," A grumbly voice behind you making you jump as the owner wrapped his arms around you, "But I don't eat food on a regular basis."

Groaning softly as your spine popped from the extra weight, "I know, I know. Its just a reflex."

Yet he wouldn't let you go, waddling around the kitchen with you as you set the table. Even if he didn't eat, Piccolo still liked drinking fruit juice in the morning. It was a way to bond with you.

But even still, you weren't getting a break as he scooped you into his lap while you two sat at the table. It was always weird, knowing Piccolo doesn't sleep yet he did when you were around. And seeing him act so sleepily with his head on your shoulder barely able to take a sip of his drink.

"[Name]," He finally settled his chin on your shoulder, "I know I don't sleep that often..."

"Mhm Hmm?" You hummed.

"But I wanna wake up next to you for the rest of my life."

You could barely turn your head to see him, realizing he was blushing as he nuzzled into your neck. The way he pressed his nose so firmly against your warm skin, almost reptilian in his behavior after he tries actually sleeping. It was adorable beyond belief.

Though it took a few seconds for you to realize precisely what he said.

Like just imagine how sensitive piccolo’s antennas are like one day y/n just goes up to him and sits in his lap and just starts playing with his antennas and he starts blushing hard and he whips away asking what’s she’s doing so like anytime he’s angry or something she’ll just start rubbing his antennas and get him a blushing mess…?🙋🏽‍♀️

You use Piccolo's weakness against him more than you'd admit...

One of the best days of your life…

The day you discovered Piccolo's weakness–other than you, of course.

Like any other time, you decided to sit in his lap during one of his moments of meditation.

And like any other time, he doesn't think anything of it...

Until you can't focus and decide to explore the features of your boyfriend.

His face starts to twitch, annoyed with your inability to stay still. Then he stiffens when your fingers brush his antennas.

You blink in surprise when he jerks his head away with flushed cheeks.

"What are you doing?!"

You mistake his flustered state for pain, "Oh—I'm sorry, did I hurt you? I didn't mean to, I thought I was being careful!"

His sigh was shaky as he covered his face,  "You didn't hurt me...I...that's just a sensitive area."

"Oh. It is?" You offer him an innocent look before you brush a finger against a single antennae.

"Yes," he avoids eye contact.

"Are you okay with me touching them?"

"I don't mind. Just not...all the time," he whispered.

He couldn't handle this more than a minute or so.

“I’ll be my secret…”

And you used this secret to your advantage.

Like when he's overthinking... then his overthinking turns in another direction.

And when he's angry.

Like one time he got angry at some alien who decided to visit earth, you thought he was too upset for your liking.

It was like a switch. From teeth bared, face scrunched, and veins bulging, to an utterly flustered and breathless mess. Your cheek kiss for good measure only made things worse.

Once Piccolo collected himself, he spoke, "[Name]. You’d better run."

"Why—?"

You took in the dark smirk on his face and ran for your life with only fading giggles showing evidence of your presence.
