[ There’s somebody I used to talk to and Skype w/ daily and I miss him, y’know? We still talk every now and then, but it’s not the same as back then when we used to be in a call almost daily and joke while playing Town of Salem or watch each other draw and talk about who knows what. I always say IRL before RP / work before playing, but it’s weird to suddenly have so little interaction w/ somebody I’ve grown close to. ]

FIRST THREE IN MY INBOX GET KISSES (1/3)

It’s been a long day, that he is sure off. Case after case has been dropped on his desk for him and Kyouka to take care of to the point that he has been sure that they weren’t going to leave the Agency until way late into the night. Kunikida seemed really set on catching up on the missed work for some reason.

Finally, a few good hours later and at least two cups of coffee and the work is done and over with. At least, the one that didn’t come in late. That is for the next day when they have to come in bright and early to be able to deal with it before they fall behind schedule. God, he’s not looking forward to that.

Atsushi’s not sure what prompts him to pad over to her and pull her into a hug, but he knows that he doesn’t regret it. It’s sort of a calming gesture making sure that she’s still with him, alive and breathing.

“Thank you, Kyouka-chan.” He whispers before pecking the top of her head gently. He’s not sure for what he’s thanking her ( for always being there, for making it out alive, for keeping him afloat ), but he’s glad that she’s there with him.

Atsushi’s head nearly slipped off the hand he propped it on when he heard his name before his eyes widened slightly. Assignment? And who was his partner? Kyouka? … why didn’t it ring any bells?

Almost instantly he sat upright from his slouched position, hand grabbing for the coffee cup ( long gone cold ) then lifting it to his lips as he let his eyes roam around the room in order to find his partner.

‘No, no, no, no… Oh?’

Ah, the transfer student. That was why he didn’t recognize her.
