Batman provides some very cool toys.” David says “Well, actually.. I built it.” Dick says “Seriously?” Over comms, Matu Ba says “Seriously...” In the Haven, we can see Matu Ba sitting in front of a computer screen. He smiles and says “... When he was fifteen he repaired cell phones and hacked active accounts out of them. It would have been a thriving business if he didn't just give the phones away."

Batwing and Nightwing keep loking aroudn the room they were investigating, with Nightwing shining a light on something. Batwing says "Matu, you are supposed to be on comms for assistance, not for color commentary." Matu says "You can never fault me for bragging, Batwing." Batwing says "No, but I can cut off your audio." Nightwing smiles and says "I'm on the other side of the planet and still managing to work with a humorless dude in a bat costume."

Nightwing crosses his arms and Batwing has his hand reached up by his ear to indicate he's talking on comms. Matu says over comms "And that was the last time he would try swimming for two years." Batwing says "Matu. Nightwing was good enough to accompany me to China. I would prefer you not bore him with my childhood exploits." Nightwing says "Please. I'm waiting for him to e-mail me prom pictures." and Batwing says "What is 'prom'?" end image]

honestly, how proud Matu is of David is like the best thing ever here he’s just like “WAIT let me tell you about my son!”

idk i just liked this dialogue

I mostly liked this because a) yay, they remembered Maya exists, and b) “I mean I may choose not to kill him”
