#Daredevil Born Again#Daredeviledit#Karen Page#Daredevil Spoilers#Not Revolution#GIF set#Mine#DD 1.11#DD 2.04#DD 2.12#I am really looking forward to the next ep of DDBA because the scenes in 2.06 are like half the conversation#there's been MANY MANY discussions on what is too far and why there needs to be a line and who will cross it and so on#and so forth. Between multiple characters - probably most of the main ones at this point - the fact that it comes up again#and Matt's response was just passive surprise or whatever the hell that was - like the biggest under reaction of the season - was sh*tty#but probably in character. And it made me go back and watch the earlier scenes in first part of the episode because he was barely#reacting to anything Karen said except to try and shut it down. Which made me go back and watch the crypt scenes and remember#how much I really hated that he never asked WHAT HAPPENED with Wesley - like she didn't walk herself into that situation. She was#kidnapped off her doorstep and drugged and threatened. What he should have said was what Frank said to him on the boat.#That's it's not a one time thing. That if you choose it it's permanent - and she knows that from her own experience of Wesley and her#brother she just needs to remember. She needs someone who listens to her and is more concerned about why this is coming up#and is less concerned with the action itself. I need someone who isn't emotionally constipated to be there for Karen.#Like - Matt can hear her offering to sacrifice herself for him right? And not in a 'I'm cool with killing people' thing... in a 'what's one#more piece of my psyche' way. Like she's already broken what's a little more damage?#I also don't think she's that different from S1 DD. I think she's experienced more trauma and death but fundamentally she just wants#a resolution. She wants off the endless cycle of people she cares about dying.#They did Matt's way for 6 months and haven't really got anywhere. It's not like she lost faith after a week.#She needs something to believe in. And dare I say a hug. And maybe a friend. IDK know what this post is about. This is me processing.#I do feel like Foggy not being around is a new variable that is maybe making Karen spin out more because he was so grounding.#And Matt is so not. He literally had an opportunity to use her own anti-killing argument in the crypt... and just didn't.#I also wouldn't say no to using more tripods. Hand held isn't awesome for close ups of people's faces.
