Hello, so I felt lil need to share some DnD things we have cause I have to get back to work and maybe this could bring back my drive (plus show off some things). Don't mind the quality it's just for our lil campagne

So welcome to The Poisoned Forest. This is basically Wield. We wanted to name the places a bit differently so players who did go through DD before would not know 100% where they are going plus the map is lil divided with some places. Also some things have changed.

Here we can find all sorts of fungal creatures, blood sucking creatures only when "lucky" and some spiders. There are also few special encounters since the pre-last session considering they pissed off the collector. It is a forest overgrown with mushrooms called “golden riders” by the locals (being the mushroom that the scratchers etc. are carrying) that is trying to spread or consume anything that isn’t within its complex system. Gnashers are gone, eaten or starved out, so are the bandits in here, only being able to see their remains like camps, corpses or leftover stuff.

After finishing the main quest that Dismas has prepared for them they will be able to find Paracelsus with Bigby (the grayed out area tiles). They are the continuation against the spreading of the CC. Paracelsus would have quests prepared for them while Bigby would be able to join their party in return. I… hope they will not kill Bigby in the fight nor Paracelsus afterwards.

I have agreed with the second DM that I'll be adding more things the more they will be exploring, adding markers like the fountains you can see there rn or the hollow tree.

Other big markers are special rooms (aka the ones with pictures and names) which at the moment are the spider den and the dead camp.

Spider den is a den they had to visit earlier to get a fresh uninfected person out of the spider grasp, almost costing Biscuit (one of the players) and Tardif's lives as it was an occultist from the ruins.

The dead camp is a camp that used to belong to bandits, it was abandoned after something attacked it. It is run down to ruin only being used by survivors like Bigby or Sarmenti or consumed by the ecosystem.

Hello I just wanted to talk a bit about DD DnD that we have so I would get more into it so... ye uwu.

Welcome to the Hope in Shackles campaign.

The group was made of 3 players and 2 DMs (me and @soldier-of-mayhem). These three players were able to choose from 5 classes I have prepared for them to make it a bit easier for them and also for us in the start.

All characters are basically under the penalty of death unless they would resolve the issues around Hamlet.

The cast:

Biscuit - a rogue-like character able to turn into a rat. Biscuit is a loudmouth and leader of the group, standing tall with her waping 125 cm. She is bald with a couple of scars but nothing is standing between her and her quest to impress Tardif and save her life from the noose.

Abel - secretly Reynauld's son without the player even knowing. He is basically like the crusader with his abilities except he can also guard people. He also has botany knowledge. He has killed his mother in order to try to leave the farm but got caught and now he ended up in this mess. He is pretty nervous and very inexperienced but he is trying his best.

Karel (Carl) - A tamer of wild creatures from far away, having a hyena as a buddy. A greedy man, terrified of everything, selfish and ignorant. He got killed off very quickly as he was not keen on traveling with the party or anything, ending up lost forever, only his pet remaining.

Now that we know the cast of... currently 2 people that are players, let's talk about the world a bit.

This campaign is happening after Hamlet fell due to attacks from the brigards and the CC (crimson curse) getting out of hand. The ones who are left still fighting are Amani, Audrey, Tardif, William, Missandei and Junia. They all set out a camp in the previously known farmstead. The crystals have disappeared with the sleeper as it had no reason to stay, no way of spreading nor consuming. The farm materials were used to survive or to build the camp (imma still have to redo the map this was for our first session).

The group is sent out to deal with the issue. After some scouting they arrive at the camp, being welcomed by Tardif with their first fight. He is quickly stopped by Junia from murdering them, that they could be the help they've been waiting for and so, they join the camp.

They are slowly learning from Audrey's or Junia's dialogue that CC has spread around and that they should be careful (aka being a mechanic where they can also be infected just like the NPCs). They can also find some old friends for example 'the pede' aka Dismas who has turned into a half giant centipede, but I'll talk about him separately if I'll get to it. In the meantime some people left because their hope has been lost, for example Reynauld, who has joined the cult instead.

NPCs are able to join their party, they are able to change their stats and how they perceive them (for example Biscuit trying to get lil too close with tardif or audrey).

Their main goal is to stop the CC. They have many battles and quests in front of themselves, lore pages they can read if they will wanna, friendships to make or lose.

So ye, that will be probably it for now. I will go a bit deeper into certain topics when talking about them specifically, this was more like... an introduction to the whole sharing thing if I may say. Alright, see ya in the next parts uwu
