omgggggggg, but also lmaooooo!
Okay, I should clarify that it wasn’t entirely random. I had just gone to see Angels in America, which he’s in. I was not by the stage door though, because as a rule, I don’t want to meet actors*. I was around the corner waiting for a cab when his pulled up. That’s why I looked into it in the first place, to see if I could flag it since it was fairly close to the curb and I thought it might be empty.
If anything, this makes the encounter even stupider, because I had just finished watching this man in a three hour plus play and my immediate go-to was still: is that an old classmate from high school?
I will say this, the man is actually better looking in real life. Like, photos make him look homely compared to how attractive he is in person. And like, HUGE. He is ridiculously tall. I wanted to beat him up, that’s how tall.
*I think it’s a terrible business for fantasy. As someone who has worked in the theatre, I know that most of us are idiots, none of us worthier than the other.
