11 Questions Meme
1. if you were to kill someone, how would you go about it?
If I was actually going to kill someone... I'd want to get away with it. What good is murder if you get caught. Own an unregistered boat, coerce the victim into going with me on said boat, sail to international waters, poison them, dispose of the body... I don't think I could actually stomach chopping it up for the fish to eat... (although that's debatable) so I guess either that or I'd have to have concrete on hand to be able to sink it to the ocean floor.
2. do you watch/read the news?
No... I might if it was accurate journalism...
3. if androids were introduced to the public, how would it change the world?
It would revolutionize the production industry - minimum wage jobs would be rendered invalid (if the androids were being mass-produced at affordable rates to do such tasks), re-evaluate a human's position in the medical field (open-body surgeries? delicate procedures? caretakers?), wars could be different, perhaps even childcare, any task that could be successfully delegated from a human's responsibility in domestic or industrial life would have to be reconsidered. If they had AI it brings in a whole new set of questions regarding what it means to be human, legal rights for non-biological creations - jobs, votes, discrimination, morals, ideas of love, ideas of self.
4. will ww3 happen?
Depends how forgetful the human population is - I'm cynical so I'd say yes - eventually. I'm not quite convinced it will be nuclear though. While this generation seems comfortable forgetting the broad idea of a world war the catastrophic events from the past two stick out... Nuclear damage is still so prevalent I don't know if anyone would be willing to risk a full scale nuclear war. Maybe EMPs - used successfully those could cause intense international chaos without actual intended casualties... or maybe just a war over resources... I don't know but humanity certainly seems capable of repeating itself - after all WWI was "The War to End All Wars" and look where that got them.
5. are you content?
Mostly.
6. have you ever felt enlightenment?
No... probably closest thing to something like that I've experienced is when your brain finally solves that problem you tucked into a deeper level of your mental processes to think about and you get that moment of clarity.
7. have you ever convinced yourself of something you knew wasn’t true?
Yeah.
8. do you believe in platonic hate?
Definitely.
9. have your morals ever been/are shaky?
I have a pretty strong set of morals, or at least I like to think so, but that doesn't always mean I don't question them/myself and sometimes want to act impulsively on things that I know aren't really right... I just... never actually follow through.
10. ever had an encounter with a ghost or something of the kind?
My house seems to be haunted, so I believe yes.
11. do you concern yourself with how others view you?
Not in real life - I have some rough edges when I talk to people, and they generally either end up liking me or hating me. I tend to be a little blunt and straight forward, and I realized a long time ago that some people aren't going to like that and that is definitely their problem. Online though, I'm pretty concerned with it - maybe exactly because I can control it. (Compensation? XD) Who knows, but I'd like people to perceive me in a favourable light although I can't say it bothers me when they don't - it's just less preferable.
