I have a lot of people to thank today
Way too many, actually. So here are the most rent people in my life whom I need to thank.
Karen Luo: You're pretty much exactly like a sister to me. Some days I can't stand you because our minds aren't on the same pattern. But most days you're the most wonderful person on Earth, and I know that even though we don't get to hang out that much, whenever I truly need you, you'll be at my door the minute you can be. Thanks so much for putting up with all my shit and drama and life<3
Vanessa Chung: Oh where do I even begin? You are honestly one of the few people I've never been mad at....ever. We are so alike in so many ways and so we are always on the same page and it's so amazing to have someone to truly understands me in the ways that I need to be understood the most. Thank you so much for being there for me and always finding the good in me that disappears when I'm clouded with anger.
Taylor Ward: You are my best friend. As of right now, you really are. I see you at least once a week and I love being around you all the time and we are just partners in crime and we both love to sing super loudly and push our range limits and everything. I'm not afraid to sing in front of you, ever, because unlike with everyone else, I know that you will not ever judge me in any way. You will just tell me what I need to work on. You won't lie to me, either, and tell me that I sound good when I obviously don't. Thank you so much for being so true to me.
Shaina Lumish: Where do I even begin? You could not know just how thankful I am to have befriended that lost girl in the theater the day you were asking about the choir program. And even though you had to sing Soprano one for the rest of the year because of me, I am so happy that you have remained such a constant in my life. We never talk anymore, but when we do, I know that you will always have something to say to make me feel better or to make me laugh, or it'll be just like we've talked every day of our lives. Thank you so much for always being there.
Sophia Jung: You are one of my secretly hilarious friends. Not in the way that most would think, but in my kind of musical humor. We always get along so well, and even though you tend to lie to me about my voice, it's okay, because sometimes I do need that self-esteem boost. ALso, you're always at the ready at the piano whenever I need you. Thank you so much for being so honest and patient with me.
Ellen Jacobs: My choir buddy. Finally we are reunited after we had been torn apart freshmen year. You are the best Apples-to_apples player ever to grace the earth, even if I win all of the cards. Your sense of humor just never fails to make me laugh and we also always understand each other so well that like I said once, we've been secret best friends without knowing it. LOL. Thank you for putting up with me in choir and for always dealing with my little quirks.
Jeanette Adame: You are one of my most beautiful friends. Both inside and out. I would kill for your hair, I admire the strength in your voice, and I can't help but give my heart out to you whenever you hurt. I know that life is tough, but you'll be okay, because your are just so stunning on the inside, even if you don't feel it. Also, having such a pretty face is a plus for you as well. Thank you for always being so supportive and funny and inclusive with me. I don't know what I'd do without you. Thank you.
Cindy Shi: You're one of my truest friend. We can honestly say whatever we want to each other, and it hurts so much sometimes, but they're just bumps along the way. I never told you, but I'm terrified of our friendship. Because it emerged after such a rocky history, I'm constantly in fear of you dropping me for someone better, because you'll suddenly realize that I'm not the kind of person you want to be friends with after all. We're at a dump right now, and your tumblr is deactivated so you probably won't even see this, but right now I sincerely hope you do. Thank you for never lying to me.
Christine Chai: I'll be honored to know you later on down the road when you're famous. I can only hope that you don't forget me(: SIO was an experience that I will never forget, thank you so much for teaching me everything during that time and thank you so much for just being such an amazing friend.
Alexus Phomvongsa: You little cutie, you'll also be famous in the long run so make me proud(: You're so adaptable and honest and cute and persistent and I'm so glad I met you this year. I have our HC pictures and you have my bra and hair serum LOL trade soon? Thank you for being so supportive of me and my music, especially when you shouldn't be.
Tina Nham: My big sister since 7th grade, you have always been a favorite of mine. We have a pretty flaky relationship, but it's okay because we always understand. I'm sorry for never being able to attend any of your celebrations. You'e so funny and I love and miss you so much. Thank you for being so amazing to me and towards my family.
Victoria Nguyen: What would I do without you, girl? You're my rock in VLYT. You always know what to say and I love listening to you and helping you out when I can. We understand each other so well when it comes to VLYT, we could be the same person LOL. You deserve nothing but the best, so don't settle, and don't sell yourself short, either. Thank you for befriending me all those years ago.
Sarah Nguyen: I am your fifth best friend(: I know that life doesn't always agree with you, but I promise it will get better. I love that you can always make me laugh and that you also share a love for nail polish with me. Be strong and don't give up. Thank you for including me into your circle of friends all those years ago.
Crystal Nguyen: You're family. You're always there. You always listen. I am so thankful that we've been together since you were born. You're so beautiful and funny and talented and wonderful and I am honored to be someone close to you. Thank you for standing by me for nearly seventeen years, even if you didn't really have a choice(:
Andrew Phomvongsa: LOL you never fail to make me laugh. Your antics are just to die for, and I love that I can trust you and that you consider me a favorite of the class of 2012(: There are just too many memories between us that I can't even begin to list them here. I'm glad that things are working out for you, stop worrying about MI. You are amazing, so don't you ever sell yourself short. I have faith in you, even if you don't in yourself. Thank you for being my friend, I'm sure that in a different time of your life, someone like me wouldn't have been able to get two steps near you, but you let me be your friend anyways.
Brian Shin: We've drifted these past few weeks and you obviously don't know how it's affecting me, but I do want you to know how proud I am of you. Of Brian Shin, not of Bieber Brian. I've missed you and face timing with you and just you in general. You once told me that I was like a sister to you and that I was one of your best friends. Thank you for allowing for me to feel so loved and appreciated during that time, and know that you'll always have a special place in my heart because you gave me that feeling of being wanted.
Chris Dam: My big brother for five years now? You are always there when I need you and I find that simply amazing and so wonderful of you. Thank you for always being willing to help me out and for always being so nice to me.
Tomoki Obama: You are one of my favorite people. You're taken care of me for such a long time and it's really strange to not see you all of the time. Drama isn't the same without you and Chris, I almost don't know what I'm doing there anymore. Thank you, even though you were always being so hypocritical, you were just looking out for me, so that eventually I could keep myself safe.
Alex Vadhin: You cutie, I love that you can talk to me about all of your problems and I hope that my advice actually helps you. You deserve so much better, and I don't know what you're settling for your life as it is. Go out there and make it the way you want to, you have what it takes. I believe in you. THank you for always cheering me up and believing in me too.
Osker Lu: The love of my life(: You are so funny, but you need more confidence. The world is yours for the taking. I am so glad that you listened to me( at least that's what I tell myself) and that you ended up joining the Cappella fambam. Thank you for being so caring and accepting towards me, and thank you for being so good to my brother.
Brian Walsh: Deprived child. I am so glad that you're letting us show you all of the Disney movies, even if we can't take them seriously with all of your commentaries. And thank you for letting me be so honest with you and not judging me for it. You don't know how much it means to me.
Anthony Le: My dear Ling-Ling. Thank you so much for always checking up on me and making sure that I'm feeling better when I'm freaking out about my stress or weight or things of that sort. Thank you for understanding me all of the time and thank you for setting aside your own time to keep me safe.
Duy Nguyen: Similarly to Anthony, thank you for worrying about me when I don't show up to VLYT. THank you for noticing when I'm back and making sure that I'm still okay. THank you for being so funny and so supportive of me. Thank you for making me feel like I'm worth something after all of those hours that I put in.
Kevin Nguyen: You're a definite favorite of mine, even if I almost never see you anymore. I love sitting with you in church and singing over the choir with you. I love getting food with you, dancing with you, singing in the car with you, spending time with you. Thank you for always being willing to come get me when things are bad and for always sticking around with me.
My Super Smash Brothers: You know who you are. Showing up all of the time to "study" or to "work on a project" but in reality all you're doing is studying Martin's Falco skills and working on a way to beat him. Thanks for being so amusing when you're over.
My Movie Night family: I've already acknowledged half of you but thanks for making this a priority whenever possible. I always look forward to these nights with my favorite people.
My Family: Ahh my most important people.
Mom: I really get tired of you most days, but thank you for helping me out whenever I need it anyways. I know that we just don't see eye to eye anymore, but give me some space and time will mend all hearts.
Dad: I sometimes don't know what to tell you, but thank you for always thinking of me. I know that you really love me, even if it's harder to show it to me than to show it to Martin or Anna. I love you.
Martin: You're a little brat some days, but lately, you've been an amazing brother again. I've missed my best friend of my childhood and he's coming back to me. Let me take care of you and keep you safe until I can't anymore, because I'm your big sister. It's what I do.
Anna: You need to grow up, still, but at the same time, I want you to have the childhood that I wasn't able to have. Take your time, act your age, and have fun. No matter what, I'm proud of you and I hope that you know that.
