Ambrollins Headcanon Regarding Dean’s return
Dean is back from his injury and as happy as Seth is, there is this lingering fear in his mind that Dean will get hurt again. He becomes over-protective to a point where Dean has to sit him down and tell him he’s not gonna break and he’s okay!
As soon as Seth calm down with his paranoia and over-protection, Dean gets hurt. Seth cannot stop lashing out, freaking out and screaming. He’s carrying Dean to the trainer’s room and he’s not letting anyone touch Dean. Dean is trying to swallow the pain and comfort Seth, but Seth ain’t listening.
“Seth! Listen, ‘m okay. I just..”
“You are NOT okay! You got hurt and I wasn’t there to protect you! Its my fucking fault!”
Dean’s like holding his head and watching Seth break in front of him and one part of him wants to grab his man and kiss him silly for being so fucking over-protective and caring and so god damn sweet cuz HOW THE FUCK DID DEAN FIND A LOVE LIKE THAT??? Then there is another part of Dean that wants to get up and slap Seth for beating himself over something that could not have been predicted. As much as Dean loves how much Seth feels the need to take care of him, Dean is a big boy and can handle his own.
The trainer is trying to push Seth out of the room and Seth is having none of it. Turns out, the injury was nothing but a scare. Finally now that Seth is relaxed and calm Dean has the chance to truly appreciate how nice it feels to be so well-cared for. So he scoots off the examine table and gets into Seth’s lap and give him a good wet smooch on his lips as he says, “I love you so much you big idiot.” Seth just holds him tight and kiss his temple as he whispers, “Can’t ever let anything happen to you Baby.”
