Seasonal Witch (Dee!)
It was almost time, the summer sun had died down and went to hide behind the winds of fall. The days steadily grew colder and people went back to school shopping, the streets emptied out all of the carefree children replacing them with a rainbow of color shifting leaves decorating the streets like confetti in celebration that change was upon us.
Dee sat at her window staring a leaves being blown off the trees, it happened a few days ago as it always did. When the first leaf dropped Dee felt the rush of magic surge within her, she felt that chill that kept her cool all summer grow until it manifested itself into Magical essence.
Dee raised a hand and willed a book and a thermos to her, they floated wistfully the contents of the thermos sloshing about inside. Dee picked up the book and flipped through it to find her bookmark, as she did she took a sip from her thermos and grimaced. Despite what the product was supposed to do, her thermos never managed to keep the heat inside.
Dee shook the thing frustrated and then grabbed the thermos, focusing on the liquid inside and her anger towards it. The was a pause as Dee felt her anger manifest itself in her cascade of sparks that trailed down to the thermos and began to make the liquid within bubble.
There was a second as Dee took a few deep breaths as she had been taught, using spells in rapid succession was potentially dangerous although everyone always called her paranoid for how by the book she was.
And so she sat in the stillness of Autumn reading her book and drinking her tea, when her phone rang she checked the number and didn't recognize it.
"Hello?" "Is this Dee?" The woman's voice came from the other it was laced with worry. "can I ask who's speaking?" "I-Its Gabbys Mother, she's a witch and we don't know what to do she said you would be able to help? Please..."
Dee stood up out of her chair and quickly told he she would be over soon, she grabbed a few essentials and rushed over to her teleportation sigil.
Tropelet Won! Dee said casting the spell as her vision faded in a swirl of leaves, she was worried about Gabby but part of her was also excited to add another Witch to her Coven.
