This is gonna be my first holiday without him, yall I miss him so much. I still cry a lot when I think about him too much, I don’t think there will be a time that I won’t just go sobbing on the floor or something lol. He really lived up to his name, Sunni. My throat hurts and my eyes feel so heavy when I think back on the way he used to look for me every time I was home, and how I was the only one who was able to manhandle him without so much as a scratch (love bites not counted). I’ve only barely been able to look at a post about a cat without wanting to throw my phone out a window.
I feel so guilty every day for his passing. He got so ill after he wandered too far and some pieces of shits shot him with BB guns. He was bloody and limping but I didn’t have any money. I couldn’t take him to the vet, and nobody in the family wanted to help me. They just said it would heal after at while. He’s a tough cat, he could get through it. And he did, until it started to get infected. All he wanted during that time was just cuddles and comfort. I knew it had to have been soon, but I guess I just wanted to believe he’d make it. My grandpa then found him the next morning tucked under his car, passed on. I never cried so hard when I was told what happened, it still hurts so much. I never even found out who did it to him. We buried him at his favorite spot to nap in the sun, and I took a print of his nose for myself. I think drawing him has helped greatly with my grief, but I won’t be ready to have another cat for a long long time. Years probably. I’ll never have a great pet like him.
