Death in Her Hands, was... Kinda infuriating. Our main character, Vesta is just like an elderly lady. She' often looking in the wrong place, asking the wrong questions and is a nuisance. I didn't realize she was an unreliable narrator until she goes to the market. At that point I thought she might be seeing ghosts or talking to someone who isn't there. It's odd I was the most upset by the loss of her dog, who maybe never existed? And the slow retelling of what her husband did to her. I kinda hoped she killed him and buried the memory. But it really was like talking to an older person with dementia. Interesting and irritating in parts. Plus the ending is like... Wat.
