Well this was a surprise. To see Jeritza of all people out in the open and actually not in some training arena- or most notably, not wearing of that creepy armor that would have drawn waaaaay too much attention. Though maybe this will be his chance, to fight someone as strong as him, even if it’s just practice, that was enough to have the boy fired up.

“Hey Jeritza! I feel like we’re a bit out of practice. So how about you and I go train together. One on one. I wanna see how much stronger I’ve gotten, or see how much I need to go before beat you. Whatcha think?”

lorenz already figured the odds of seeing people they knew in this new place were slim to none, but jeritza of all people was definitely last on the list. they had an endless array of questions to ask him, ultimately all reaching a simple ‘why’ at the end of the day. but this city is supposed to be a place for new beginnings... they stand in thought for a moment, likely noticed a while ago while thinking of the proper way to approach him. 

but they weren’t trying to be sneaky, and they jump when they realize jeritza already walked up to them. “ ah... good evening, jeritza. the weather is just perfect today, isn’t it? ”

Her anxiety has her spinning, wrapped up in this thinly held together neuroticism that makes her feel distinctly sick. Distress is normal, is what she’s been telling herself, and that sometimes, things happen that you just can’t control. Whether or not that’s okay is still up in the air, but for now, Amalie’s plan is to take a few deep breaths, and find something more productive to do with herself than despairing. 

For now, it’s this cat. It’s a marvelous cat, all black with white socks. Amalie has decided in this moment that she is in love. She’s always liked cats, though it’s been three or four years since she last had one. 

Nevertheless, the appearance of someone from the adjacent door startles her, enough that she turns a bit too sharply and fixes the other with a long look. After a moment of consideration, Amalie mutely points to the cat and raises an eyebrow. 

Words. Use them.

“Is that your cat?” The obvious questions first. She’s moving quickly back into a semblance of normal, offering a more pleasant expression than the first flat one. “It’s gorgeous, just a delightful little face. I figure you should be aware if it is in fact your’s.”
