Sisterz. This photo can also be seen in the Disney TV movie, "Good Luck Charlie's Christmas Special."
Here's the story behind the photo: Two sisters were visiting grandma, who happened to live down the street from me. I asked if I could shoot photos of her gorgeous garden...and took photos of the girls instead. This was the last photo, as the older of the two was "finished", turned on her heels, and stomped off. Her little sister followed.
Seize the Day - before it gets away.
A few years ago, a family photoshoot was postponed. The seemingly two healthy grandmothers would be back from Arizona in just three short weeks (it was Mother's Day), and well, would you mind postponing until then? What can I say but, "Sure."
And then, unfortunately, the more robust and healthy of the two fell, and broke her hip, and wound up with an infection, then pneumonia, then...
Fast forward three weeks: I called. Jovial and planning to schedule during their summer month in Park City, only to be told, "We wish we would have - wish we did." And then to find out the injured grandmother passed away.
Too often we wait, when we really need to seize the moment. Now is a perfect time. There can always be an excuse - but don't let excuses get in the way.
Sunset on the Salt Flats. Two girls, two horses, one amazing sunset.
Fashion shoot with Rachel McCash for Safonova boutique in Park City
This is Omar Poole. These photos and others can be found in the December 15, 2011 issue of Now Salt Lake where Omar is "Sexy in SLC".
I'm always shooting. So, what's the latest? This is where I upload work, whether it be a fashion shoot, senior portraits, bar or bat mitzvah. Clients like to be able to "see" their images, link to FB, buy prints, etc. This is a great place to go to see "full shoots", unlike the gallery where you may see one or two photos from a shoot.
Who the heck am I?
A female photog living in Park City, Utah. I shoot strobist style; people: models, seniors, bar mitzvahs. My husband would say, "She's best at landscapes." My photo buddy would say, "She's best at people." I say, "But I love architecture..." So, when I shoot, I try to incorporate the architectural elements (or the landscape) in with the people.
I love photographing visitors to the Park City area: capturing them as they play in the snow, build that snowman with their kids, etc. However, these images I cannot post as they are private.
