WE (me and my debate partner) WON TEAM POLICY DEBATE AT THE TOURNAMENT - 1ST PLACE-

AND I GOT 5TH SPEAKER (like 5th place in speaker points for my speeches during the rounds)

LIKE-

They announced our names - like the full "And your 1st place Team Policy debate team of *insert tournament name* 2026 is.... *our names*" - and I literally just stared at the tournament director and my partner went "WHAHSGSGS-?"

AAAAAAAAAAAA

WE WENT 6:0- ONLY TEAM THAT DID- WE WON ALL OF OUR ROUNDS-

AIHSHSHSVGSS

...so yay :3

Plus we got ice cream after yayyy <3

And now I'm driving to a speech tournament 🫠...

JUST GOT BACK FROM DEBATE!!

Hhhh I'm so tiredddd-

But genuinely, so sorry for the lack of posts today yall 😭😭

All six round that I had today where back to back, and I only had like twenty minutes for lunch and dinner :'D

...safe to say im dead heh...

....aaanywaysss~ as to how I did...

CAUSE YOUR GURL AVI IS GOING TO TEAM POLICY DEBATE NATIONALS IN TENNESSEE THIS SUMMER 🎉🎉🎉 (maybe... details to be determined... but I qualified to ;3)

AAAA WE (me and my debate partner) GOT OUR SECOND CHECK!!

So basically in order to qualify to nationals, you need to get two checks in one category (basically rank high enough at a tournament to win a check. I think it's like- top eight or ten get checks? It depends on how big the tournament is loll-)

Anywaysss, we got our first check at the last tournament (we got ninth overall which is really good cause it was a HUUUUGE tournament loll)

And then this last one I just came home from..

YOUR GURL (and her ever so lovely partner <3) GOT FOURTH 😋😋😋

I think there was close to 30 teams there too? SO YAYY

We got 5:1!!! Meaning we won ALL of our rounds minus one!!!

LIKE DUDEEE- HOW?!?!?! AND IM LOWKEY SICK TOO, I GAVE MY SPEECHES SOUNDING LIKE A DYING COCKROACH GOING THROUGH PUBERTY 😭😭😭
