Ingredients: 1 cup all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup cocoa powder. 2 tablespoons granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1 cup buttermilk. 1/4 cup milk. 1 large egg. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. 1/2 cup chocolate chips.
Instructions: Mix the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and cocoa powder in a sizable mixing bowl. Melted butter, milk, egg, buttermilk, and vanilla extract should all be combined in a different bowl. Mixing until just combined, pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Take care not to overmix; some lumps are acceptable. Add the chocolate chips and fold gently. Grease a non-stick skillet or griddle with cooking spray or butter and heat it over medium-high heat. For each pancake, pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the heated skillet. Cook until surface bubbles appear, then turn and continue cooking until golden brown on the other side. Take out of the skillet and reserve the pancakes for later. Proceed with the remaining batter in the same manner.
