Today, December 12th, is National Poinsettia Day! Not only does today celebrate the beautiful pop of floral color that we see everywhere around the holidays; today’s honoring of the Poinsettia forms a bridge between the cultures of the US and Mexico. These plants come in hundreds of beautiful different colors. It is the official “birth” flower of those born in the month of December. But cat owners beware…these gorgeous blooms are toxic to our furry feline friends. If you are going to decorate with them, be sure to keep them out of the reach of those tiny teeth & tongues so kitty doesn’t accidentally ingest any of the poinsettia! #DecemberFlower #ToxictoCats #poinsettiaday #dec12 (at Painesville, Ohio) https://www.instagram.com/p/CmE_rw4LlcC/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
