Oh god I followed you because of your 'Upside Down' review, and I completely agree with you! Reviewers were looking for things that didn't exist, when all it really was was a love story with a SciFi /background/. The acting was excellent -- very human, very real, very NOT exaggerated, and very subtle, so much to the point that the reviewers probably mistook the subtlety for bad acting, which is really upsetting to me. Overall it was great and because off your amazing review I had to follow you!

Oh wow, thank you so much!  I love romance. It is my absolute favorite genre and "Upside Down" did it really well.  I am so glad you agree.

May I ask in the nicest way possible why you decided to out that user on her opinion? She never said that she liked 'Flynn Rider' more than Eugene because his name was a mouthful, really, and she only deleted your comment because her feelings were the opposite of yours, to avoid a confrontation, which, respectively, you created anyways. She's not vain, she just has an opinion, and she even said she found this scene touching. No offense, but I think creating that confrontation was wrong of you.

None taken; I’ve been mulling it over in my head and yes, I suppose it was a bit rash on my part. I don’t know, I suppose was tired and cranky when I wrote that out, but that’s no excuse for me to take it out on others.

I guess when I read that comment (and the tags of the post), the idea left on me was that they preferred “Flynn Rider” to “Eugene Fitzherbert” simply because it sounded shorter and better (the fact that they also deleted my comments didn’t help to my reasoning). That was the basis on why I made that comment, but looking back on it I admit I can be wrong on the blogger’s reasons why they prefer one name to the other, and for that I apologize. Suppose to err is human.

Holy shit. I disagreed with you on what you said in that post but because I thought you didn't get to see it (not giving myself an excuse, but most of the super angry fans were like that, and /that was the cause for the hate). You're not mad at the BBC, or at the fact that you didn't see it. You're mad at Moffat expecting the fandom to stay quiet even though this is something many of them would /die/ for, and that he's so threatening to a dedicated fan base. And now, I agree with you. I... Fuck.

I'm sorry, sweetheart... I just wanted to show you the 'non hate Moffat side of things.'

Oh I don't hate him, don't think I do. He's a brilliant writer and I'm a huge fan of his work but I don't think this is being handled right and it appears it's because of what Moffat said, so yes I am pissed off at him butI don't hate him.

I really do understand what you're feeling, but it's not that 'you get it because you pay.' It's that the BBC wants it to remain exclusive. I'm sorry that you're upset, and I am too, but it isn't all Moffat, sweetheart. Yeah, he needs to warn people because if he doesn't and it gets leaked the BBC will not give him permission to do any more SDCC exclusives. Yes. It's all very messed up, but it isn't Moffat, sweetie.

Moffat was the one who didn't want it leaked. If it's not him they should say so. I'm going with it being Moffat because he's the one who's said it, and I'm still going to be mad until I get to see the trailer. Because I don't care if they want it to remain exclusive, I get excluded enough in my normal life. I don't want to be excluded from my fandom, the one place I go to find shelter. It hurts me deeply and maybe it shouldn't but it does and I can't help that.

It's like you go through life not fitting in anywhere and you finally find a place where you belong and one person comes and gives a few of them something special and you don't get anything. There you are not fitting in again and being excluded, it feels personal and maybe I'm being overly dramatic but oh well.

I'll just have to get over it.
