"I don't care that we're almost into fall, I'm not ordering anything even remotely pumpkin flavored until the first full day I gotta wear a sweatshirt," Benito called back as he flipped through the channels on Dee's television, having just gotten off of work and in the mood to do anything but go back to his apartment. The station had descended into absolute chaos since the Heritage Vault gala, with little to no answers and multiple departments at each other's throats, so even diving into work wasn't something he could do to successfully distract himself, to keep his mind steady from spiraling in on itself -- which was why he was glad he had Dee so close by to bother. Whether she liked it or not.
"I ran into a cousin of mine at the museum." He remarked after a moment, eyes flickering over towards his ex. "Haven't seen her since we were, like, thirteen. She barely remembered me." His past before coming out to LA wasn't something he often spoke about to most people, leaving many details out when he did. But Dee wasn't most people,. Shifting slightly on the couch, he landed on some random college football game and set the remote down, suddenly feeling a bit exposed. "Mierda. Three hundred channels and nothing on. Your lamp looks good in that spot, by the way. You were right."
