It'll become clear soon, but not all of Defiance is here - there are around 100 members in the group in total, and only about twenty here today. But it seems like a lot to the cats.
Also, Prowl did kill Mallowstar by snapping his neck, but I understand it may not be obvious in the art because I didn't want to look at pictures of broken necks for reference. Regardless he died near instantly.

Did any of the deeplings survive the fall of Defiance or did they all stayed in the bloodfest final battle?
I'm going to be completely honest, I didn't give a SECOND of thought to what happened to any specific members of Defiance except the main characters. The only deepling I drew in this panel getting killed was Holly, so she's the only canon death. Other than that, let's say your favorite one survived and everyone else died.
do any of the deeplings ever want to seek revenge? how many still live? you are one hell of an author, making me wonder about these specks of background characters!! i can’t wait for gilded roses!

Yes, but his grief doesn't look like what most people associate with "grief". And he associates feelings like "sadness about death" with weakness, so he would do everything to not show it.

Yep! That's Heart of Winter. The wolf alongside him is in fact one of Prowl's children, Cat's-Eye.
He first appeared here in Issue 28, alongside his sister Leer.
And another one of Prowl's children, Lucky-Foot, is also in Issue 28.
Other than that, I haven't designed any more of Prowl's kids. Here's a full list of them.
(about the cypress flowers so no need to answer publicly) Damn I guess it's good I didn't just comment about them or mention it on the Discord like I thought about doing lol... your secret is safe with me and I look forward to watching the chaos ahead unfold. I am a bit stumped on what the other flowers are (spider lily maybe but we don't have a char named spider or lily so far except for like Lilygleam iirc? Wait maybe Redpelt bc they would be Red Spider lilies??) but this IS a mystery comic so thats not a bad thing haha. Enjoy your break!
(This is an ask from directly post-Issue 32, of the only person who noticed that the flowers in the below panel included cypresses, and since no one else had commented on it I answered their ask privately. They also caught on to the phrase of Nightberry "clinging to Cypressfoot" in Issue 34... I hope you enoyed keeping this little secret, haha!)
Thank you! :D The other flower is an asphodel flower, it's red because it's "red with blood" as Nightberry says. I was, as the kids say, MEGA burned out while I was drawing those flowers so they're super sloppy and maybe not very good asphodels lmao. But I like the Deathsong comparison! Especially since I did drop the phrase "death song" in the issue. :]
