DEER ADVENTURE
Sorry im on mobile, excuse the wall of text! So, im walking down the street, in my neighbor, going to the bus stop. Im on the sidewalk beside this primary school, when i hear this ugly screaming "heeeyyy heeeeyyyyy". I think maybe its a drunk guy or something but the guy kept at it, i turn around when this white Volkswagen with the municipality logo and two men inside stops by my side, when i see this big dog slamming itself against the school fence ("a sighthound?" i think). The dog then makes this big leap and it is not a dog IT'S A DEER. "Miss miss the deer was running towards you it was going to run you over!!" the guys in the car tell me, we three run towards the deer when it jumps over a house gate into its garden. A friend who lives on that same street saw us and comes out of her house with his husband and a neighbor and we tell her what's going on. I'm calling the police when the deer jumps over the garden wall and starts sprinting towards the next street. We all go chasing after it when i see two guys also running in the same direction. The deer ran into a house under construction, the people working there closed the gates and tied it up, but while they were trying to get to it the poor thing slammed itself against the gate, the walls, everywhere. They put it on the back of a truck, where we waited for the authorities to come (meanwhile the police and firemen came, then left after the deer was caught). We covered its face, and gave it water with a syringe, waited half an hour then got fed up and i called Bruno's vets to check the deer. One of the guys has a masters or some other qualification on wildlife, so he checked the deer, which seemed to only have minor bruises and cuts on its legs, and a bloody nose, but apparently no broken bones nor signs it was hit by a car. It was a young female white tail deer (the vets said it was less than a year old), it had nothing that pointed towards it being owned by anyone or part of a farm or anything, no tattoos, markings, rings nothing. After almost two hours some guys from the zoo came and took the deer with them. The guy who gave the first truck where the deer was kept all that time works st the city hall, so he took us to the zoo and asked the guards if the deer arrived safely. It did :). He told us he would keep in touch with us so we know what happened with the deer.
