Go to Sleep
This is just a very short ficlet idea I had to write
Tonight Tenna was babysitting Lancer for King while he had to do some errands and didn't want his son to wander off somewhere.
Truth be told, it's more like Tenna insisted he'll watch over Lancer for King without him even asking. Lancer enjoyed hanging out with his TV dad anyway.
"It's time to go to bed," Tenna announced after he checked the time, "It's getting late,"
"Aww, but I wanna see if the princess will beat the knight in the fight!" Lancer pouted.
"We can watch again next time," Tenna reassured him in a gentle tone, "But, you need to go to sleep before midnight,"
"But why? What happens before midnight?" Lancer asked.
Neither of them heard King enter the room and standing behind them and watching silently. He had been curious how Tenna acted when alone with Lancer. The kid does adore the ruler of TV World. If it was the old Tenna he could understand, but the new Tenna was a real grouch.
"If you stay up after midnight, the tickle monster will grab you and tickle you silly!" Tenna growled playfully as he wiggled his claws.
"Eeek! Not the tickle monster!" Lancer squealed before laughing. He paused for a moment to look at his TV dad seriously, "But, won't the tickle monster get hold of you?" "Oh, I'll protect you against the tickle monster," Tenna declared proudly.
The TV didn't notice King sneaking up from behind him and wiggling his fingers before suddenly tickling his sides, a wide grin on both his face and stomach.
"EE! Hahahahh!!" Tenna immediately started laughing adorably, which shocked both Lancer and King. The show host quickly shot up to his feet and turned around, looking angry before hugging his sides to protect them.
"You're ticklish?" King asked before grinning when he noticed how the TV started to blush.
"Not a word," Tenna growled before turning to Lancer, "Go to bed, young man,"
"Okey-dokey!" Lancer grinned before he ran off to his room. Tenna and King both stared at each other in silence.
"Not a word to anyone," Tenna growled.
"Don't see the big deal," King shook his head in amusement, "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone,"
"Good," Tenna nodded.
