I asked my mom recently about getting sage to purify the house, and she gave me a look like I had said something incredibly offensive. Apparently, my mom HATES sage. She can't stand it, can't stand the smell, and goes into a fit of rage in its presence. Sage is supposed to cleanse negative energies, right? So I wonder why it affects my own mom so badly. Hmm...
