Dear bestfriend

                    Were you truly everything you say said you were? Did you truly defend me when everybody else attacked me? What did you do? Why did you search for me when I couldn't even find myself? It just puzzles me. Why did you do so much for somebody like me? Somebody nobody else can even bear to look at without seeing a heartless monster?

                    But you know who you are. You're the closest thing I have to a friend, and I haven't seen you in such a long time. What a sad existence, isn't it? Being confined to an abandoned manor and seen by the superstitious locals as a monster that haunts it?

                    It has to change, but I just don't see how. Nobody else will look at me. Nobody else will even spare me a second thought. Their stares scream 'MONSTER' to me. I can't even walk outside without being struck with an insatiable urge to go back inside and never walk back out.

ϡ : mental state headcanon

          Faodubh's mind is kept on a very tight leash and under wraps. It's far less stable than he appears on the outside, thanks to a maddening guilt and continuous hunger to devour. He's accustomed to quashing both, but it gets out of hand at times.

✖ : anger headcanon

          When Faodubh is angry, it's safe to say that something has seriously gone wrong. He almost never shows any hint of anger, much less pure rage. When angered, he's likely to let go of the leash on his mind and let his hunger run free. It's safe to say that he's likely to attack you, whether with teeth and claws or his manipulation of the shadows.

          Faodubh's sleep is often dreamless. When not, however, he can suffer horrific nightmares that leave him waking up in a pool of cold sweat.

⊕ : talents/hobbies headcanon

          It's not much, but Faodubh has acquired the ability to brew a good cup of tea for himself or his visitors. He's also an avid reader, often brushing up on mythology and monster stories. He sees something about the history of reviled beasts to be so intriguing, as well as personally connecting to his life.

⊕ : Talents/hobbies headcanon

          It's not really much, but Valerie is pretty good at cooking up a few different kinds of foods (mostly sweet ones). Chocolate chip pancakes and other ways to add chocolate and other little sweeteners are her bread and butter for cooking.

☻ : Mood headcanon

          Valerie's mood is usually bright and chipper, mostly thanks to Delilah's presence. She's given plenty of reason to be happy, knowing that Delilah's there to protect her.

          Even then, she's almost always a little bit jumpy, almost like a wild animal staring at an oncoming car. She's scared by strangers sometimes, though some people she's quick to deem as friendly and immediately greets with a smile and a happy remark.
