me praying to Apollo bc i have the slightest fever ever
I'm about to dive headfirst into writing and testing out a bunch of my own spell recipes, so I've been absolutely hoarding every soup, slow-cooker, and dessert recipe with interesting ingredients that I've come across, but I've also finally been feeling much, much better physically, and much more confident in my deity work with a flock of love and war goddesses - and Loki, for some reason - so, I've been planning loads of social engagements and dates at the same time, and it's all swirling up together. "Cinnamon Maple Brown Butter Blackberry Peach Crisp???" I yelled at my partner this afternoon, "Send me that link!!" I feel like there's some kind of potential there for a spell of deepening attraction for bi-curious babes with simultaneous protection against cis-het men. Do I need another witchy blog to separate out the recipes and the queer dating stories? Maybe!
When you talk about “pspsp them over” how do you know it’s worked + how do you call for them is it through tarot readings or offerings ?
-sorry for so many questions-
Dw :-) I usually meditate for a bit, feel of there’s a presence in the room and take extra precaution to ensure that it’s actually them (ask some questions about their mythos, recount previous conversations to make sure that it’s them. It’s kind of hard with limited information about a deity but I tend to go with the latter) and initiate conversation. I usually call for them every other day or so and leave out offerings when I can. I’m really sporadic with it but that’s just because my life is super hectic outside of witchcraft…
Me via tarot: hey Rán whats up what do you want from me and how can I help connect with you more
Rán: I'm your mom now. Go have dreams about me.
I have lit my deity candles for the first time in a few weeks and the energy is like a concerned parent asking why you didn’t pick up the phone when they called whoops
NOTE TO SELF: SUN AND MOON WATER
so... I use sun and moon water as offerings and went to go pour some only to find a bunch of black mold on the top of the glass bottle cap. I was HORRIFIED. I thought I had properly cleaned the bottle before storing the water... Just did some research and found that bacteria still grows in water after they are contained...
So now Im going to wash my sun and moon water bottles after use and only keep them around for a week or two at a time. This is fine for me cuz again, for offerings not ingestion. But I just wanted to note it here for any other baby witches!!
just did the most Apollo Devotee thing i’ve ever done (sat in front of my altar in a patch of sunlight for 30 minutes while singing loudly to my favorite band)
Fridays are now officially for Aphrodite. In today's activities, I reorganise the kinky romance shelf, spend time reading both spicy and sweet romance novels, and spend more time than usual working on learning the mother tongue of my primary partner (French). Also, die laughing at how my grandma called me out of the blue this morning, and then proceeded to non-ironically refer to him as "your lover" about a million times. Is that some sort of adorable sign in itself? Who knows!
