United Way - PRIDE for Youth Meeting!

It’s that time of year again! Previously referred to as a Delaware GSA Leadership Summit, now called the PRIDE for youth meeting! It’s not only for leaders of GSA’s but all members too. I guess we can’t have all the fun without you guys! 

It’s taking place Saturday October 10th this year and I got a sneak peak at the official schedule. It sounds pretty jam packed with goodness, I’ve given you a summary below.

It starts at 8am with breakfast following a showing of Straightlaced: How Gender’s Got Us All Tied Up. After the movie they split everyone up into groups to have discuss the movie. That’s not all! Then we all get back together for a motivational speaker which has yet to be announced. Each GSA will get some one on one mentoring, all GSA leaders will get to meet with one another, and there will be group chats on organizing and maintaining your GSA. Then we tie it with a bow and are out of there by 3:30!

I attended the first Summit in Delaware about 2 years ago, back then it was only for leaders. It inspired me and motivated me to become the leader I am and I truly believe everyone at Newark AGSA can benefit!
