Silas was a perpetually ill child. He spent most of his childhood and youth in and out of the hospital. He spent a great deal of time being schooled at home.

He became a professor of Philosophy at UCLA, loving the west coast sunshine and being far from the chilly climate of his youth.
It was in one of his advanced lectures that one of his students wrote an interesting paper on kink and the philosophy of dominance and submission and its application in a post-feminist universe
It triggered something in Silas and he began to discreetly explore. He would often travel considerable distances to go to clubs or meet up with paid professionals willing to educate him.
It opened something for him, something he could not have put into words but it gave him immense pleasure. After trying out a few things, he figured out he was a Dominant. And in his typical fashion, he educated himself into being a particularly excellent one. Or so he thought.
Precisely thirty days to the day after her graduation, as he was packing for a sabbatical, she showed up on his doorstep, carrying a suitcase and her passport. Wherever he was going, she was coming. She wasn’t a student anymore and she was bound and determined to have him as her Dominant. For good.

Some information about my Tait:
Two years ago, Tait thought his life was coming together beautifully. He was with someone he really loved and his family was in a good place. Having graduated from school, he was just starting to begin working with his brothers in their own business. He and his lover were saving diligently for their first house and had plans to marry in the next few years (although no official proposals as of yet).
Then one evening, his love asked him to stop by the store to pick up a few items on his way home so they could have a quiet day in together the following day. Later it was hard to blame the driver who suffered the terrible and sudden heart attack that caused him to lose consciousness with his foot on the gas, careening into the store. Tait pulled a young pregnant woman and her small child out of the way in the nick of time.
Unfortunately he was not so lucky. The accident damaged his leg from hip to knee, requiring intensive, successive surgeries and over a year of physiotherapy before he was able to walk again.
Tait is finally in a good place physically. He’ll bear scars for the rest of his life and requires a knee brace when he wants to do any high pressure physical activities. The fact that he is capable of doing them at all is a miracle and a testament to immediate medical treatment and his own strength of will.
Unfortunately, the emotional and mental baggage of the last two years has strained his relationship to the point of breaking.
This trip is their opportunity to figure out if they still make sense as a couple or whether it is time for them to part ways.
They have agreed there are no rules as to interactions with others, so long as there are no secrets.
Tait is willing to do what it takes to revive his relationship, even if it means shelving his naturally possessive ways. He still wants the future they had planned and so much more.
Due to the settlement from the accident and generous gift from the spouse of the woman and child he saved (turns out they were related to some serious tech millionaires - who knew), money is not the problem.
