He saw rather than heard the shape of his name on Marius’ mouth, and looked up at him with a startle of embarrassment. Marius quirked a brow in fond mockery, as a gust of sea-scented wind winnowed his hair, tossing an errant curl into his eyes.
It was the image of Marius in that moment that he would hold in his heart, after, when the peace ended and calm summer days were a memory. (x)
Even though Chartered Libertine is now Iron & Antimony and set in 1860s New York instead of Regency England, I adore @sunshinemage’s new art style so much that I had to ask her to update her commission of Gil and Marius from the original storyline.
