Beat Swap Meet is a Record Swap Meet featuring a dozen or so Invited Record Collectors & Dealers from all over California and beyond. Buying Selling & Trading, Blues, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Latin, Metal, Psych, Punk, Rap, Reggae, Rock, Soul and World - 12", LP's & 45's on VINYL. 

DJ's spin rare selections from their record collections: 

Cellski, Delrokz, Derrick D, Jawa, Jus Jones, Lord Ron, Max Kane, Pryvet Peepsho, 671, Sake One, Saurus, Sweater Funk crew, & others TBA

All canned proceeds go to the local homeless communities of Oakland. Please bring a can to donate to the cause.

Hollywood Swinging pt. 2

Alright so we have been in Los Angeles since 5pm and survived several bathroom breaks and a car acccident on highway 5, the only object that kept us from being involved in the accident was a blue 96' Honda Civic that swiftly made a left on to the shoulder, avoiding a collision with the car behind him and us in front.  The 4 or 5 cars behind the blue Civic weren't so lucky.  So where are we now?  Chillen' in the Days Inn hotel room in silence besides the beats that are passing through our headphones as DJ Merrick and I prepare sets for tonight on our (S)Laptops.  We took one break to try the so called "Authentic" Mexican food next to our Hotel then back to work we went.  The occasional text message or phone call was the only other sound that stopped us from pure DJ meditation.  It is now 9:05pm and i feel ready to rock and show Hollywood how we get down.  Looking forward to seeing old friends and the new ones we made during our last visit.
