HASHIRA 🔁 DEMON AU
gyomei and muichiro
part one (you’re here!) | part two | part three | part four | part five
To be a proper housewife, one must conduct one's house accordingly. Clean the house, do the laundry, pay the bills, cook dinner, all those things to maintain a healthy and happy environment for you and your family. But the key factor of being a proper housewife is to commit to the household. These walls are your domain, which you rule alongside your King or Queen. And as monarch do, they must rule their kingdom with a gentle hand and an iron fist. Both chaos and order. Love and hatred. An equal balance that overthrows the monotony of daily life just enough to bring smiles to your and your loved ones' faces.
Now I know, we live in a world past the gender roles of society: Men get the money, women feed the baby. But don't take this as mockery; I have a job, and I genuinely find fulfillment in housekeeping. I mean, just look at this place. I truly believe that many women grapple with the desire to take on the role while also feeling pressured to conform to societal expectations and fit into what “the world” dictates. “The world” refers to those around us—friends, family, acquaintances—who may question our choices and overlook the value of our contributions.
If we constantly live according to other people’s expectations, are we ever truly capable adults, or free thinkers?
To truly embrace the role of a housewife, you must shed these cultural expectations. They needn't exist in your home. In a society that often pits men and women against each other—whether at work, on the streets, or especially within the family—creating a sanctuary where each person contributes positively—rather than competing, is a glorious feeling. My dear, it's so rare to see a woman truly knowing what she wants to do with her life. So many of us make such poor choices, leading us into a profound sense of emptiness, spiraling into a deep, dark hole. A lady hell, where the ghosts of failed females wander the world, lost with no purpose.
Homemaking is my calling. And I do it with pride!
Anyways, breakfast is ready, and my darlings are hungry. Plates of meat, red and raw, glistening under the sunlight cracking through the curtains. The once pristine porcelain now wears a scarlet hue, marred by the meaty treasures sliding oh-so-gently upon its surface. Just one breath, and the metallic tang pools in the air; the kitchen looked like a complete massacre. The floor was set as my dear sweethearts happily chatted in a little circle, emoting and conversing in little side conversations. Surprisingly, they weren't drooling before I walked out of the kitchen with decorative plates in hand.
Oh right, how could I forget? I haven't introduced my darlings yet. Well, you already know one of them, Obanai. He's sitting in the corner over there. Don't worry, he isn't punished; he's just shy when it comes to eating. The others hold great company, however. There's Kyojuro, my little flame, he's the one with the fiery looking hair, Tengen, the one with the golden horn on his left, Giyuu, my dewdrop, he's the one with gills, my two girls, Shinobu and Mitsuri, Sanemi, the one with wings, Gyomei, not only my largest but also my eldest, and Muichiro, the smallest and youngest. 9 darlings and I, all living in my manor. Understandably, some might find this to be...much...almost a little cramped despite the massive square footage. But honestly, I feel blessed to have a family like this. Such laughs, such tears, memories we share together every day. People should feel envious rather than concerned; when was the last time a family bonded together like this? We've distanced ourselves with hubris, calling it independence as we crumble apart and turn into islands. How much water do we have to travel in order to reach our parents now, I wonder? The numbers grow as time passes. I have no family left; their islands were washed away with the tides. But now, I have these, and frankly, it's paradise.
Gnawing tender meat, cracking the bones, slurping the marrow, licking the juices, moaning at the delicious flavor. There's nothing better than watching your darlings enjoy a meal together. I almost want a bite myself with how they're selling it.
"Mmmmm, Master! This meat it's delicious!" My little dove, Mitsuri, chirped as the juices dripped from her lips.
"Come sit with us, Master!"
"Join us, Master!"
"We'll save some for you!"
"Oh that's quite alright, darling." I smiled wryly at the last request. My own breakfast is enough, but I'll happily sit with them. I tried to tell them to sit in the dining room, but they usually revert back to the floor.
As I said, there's nothing better than enjoying a meal with your family. Life likes to push us apart; the world tends to divide as much as it connects. Sometimes, you end up with the strangers, those mysterious, interesting people walking down the streets who hold epochs in their pockets far different from your own. Sometimes, they share those little stories with you if they want. Or sometimes, you see these little bubbles of time floating by you, swirling spirals of a past, present, and future. That's how I see it, little soap bubbles floating with the wind, cradled in your hands and giggling like a child.
"How's the little Honshu wolf cub from the institute?" Shinobu asked.
"Oh that darling." I chuckled softly. Should I tell them? I don't want them wrapped up in my job. It can quite disturbing, especially for the younger ones.
"Is that doctor lady still there? The one with the alfalfa?" Tengen pantomimes.
"Mio? Oh she's quite alright. She just finished moving into her boyfriend's apartment."
"What about the guy that always smells like spunk?" Sanemi gruffed.
Half of the demons groaned, making disgusted faces. Not even his name was whispered, and everyone gagged. I swallowed.
"Tory...is....still here...He's working with the primates." I could feel the bile rising up again. Just the blurry image of his face makes my head hurt; that horrid smell of sex can create brain tumors in an instant.
"You should kill him already. I'm tired of hearing his name." Obanai added, slightly turning his head from the corner.
"Why can't we go with you, Master?" Muichiro pouts. I swabbed a bit of juice from his cheek.
"I can't let any demons in the perimeter, dear. Besides, the crows would alert to your presence." I boop his nose, "I can't let you guys get caught now, would I?" I smiled.
"Of course not! We would never leave you alone!" Kyojuro leaned inward.
"We wouldn't hear the end of it." Obanai spat yet again.
My darlings, oh my sweet darlings. Where would I be without them? What would I have done to myself? Would I still keep my job at the institute? Would I not live in this cozy oasis of my own? The thoughts, the scenarios, the dreams, the nightmares, the cosmic twist of the Butterfly Effect. I may have been the showgirl at that hotel downtown, who knows? I'm glad I'll never know for myself. This timeline is perfect, and I won't have it any other way.
kny au idea
//CANON KNY STORYLINE SPOILERS
okay so i LOVE demon slayer its RRREGGHHHRFHRJDJD EXPLODES
Anyway i like denon slayer
Ive had a few various fic ideas and i just had another one so ill drop a few lil factoids from it
Au idea: the slayer's mark curse doesnt kill its user- it just turns them into a demon either by 25 or when put into a situation that would kill a regular human. In this au Rengoku survives because he activates the mark while thinking about Senjuro- and during that same fight instead of dying to akaza when he's brought into the shade he goes fupl demon—but akin to all docile demons-remembers who he is and his past and so holds the same ability of peace that Nezuko and the demons Lady Tamayo turns do.
First off I dont want the Ubuyashiki family to die so we're just gonna say they didnt by some blood demon art or something idk - either way they survive because I love the ubuyashikis
Later on during the final battle muzan manages to get away instead of being killed and making tanjiro demon king and the corps PANICS because what the fuck why are ALL THE HASHIRA TURNING INTO DEMONS???? (Shinobu because she believes her plan may fail and in the heat of seeing Douma activates her mark, Tengen activated his mark during the entertainment district to save his wives and the squad) And NONE of the corps is having it.
Also if this looks wonky thats mb i dont know how to format a bullet-point list on tumblr
• Rengoku is SO not happy about not being able to go out in the sun anymore, but hes making the most of it
• Sanemi barely saved Genya and he is never going to let himself live that down. He almost lost his baby brother and he is NOT going to keep pushing him away
• Shinobu, Obanai, and Sanemi are THE most pissed about the situation, they had a feeling it would happen but goddamnit they really didnt want it to
• lets say Obanai activated his mark while defending Tanjiro and or Mitsuri, its a snake in between his shoulderblades
• Gyomei cried for HOURS when he heard everyones voices again for the first time - despite the circumstance
• Mitsuri is honestly taking this all the best, she likes her fangs and thinks she looks more like Nezuko--it makes her happy.
• Tamayo survives but barely--and thats thanks to Yushiro. While initially she tried to use the demon to human cure on the hashira, when it didnt work she was absolutely stumped--she had NO idea what to do, shes working on a cure but her main priority is something to weaken Muzan even more than before
• Giyuu is honestly a bit peeved he didnt die-- he misses his family and best friend damnit
• Muichiro is pretty indifferent about surviving, hes glad he can still be useful but now hes disgusted in himself just for being alive. Now he understands a bit of what Obanai was talking about that one time.
Im totally gonna have more im gonna make drawings on this and if anyone is intruiged i am ONE HUNDRED PERCENT taking asks on this (and in general, my inbox is forever open lol)
Rengoku <3 hes the last one (probably) that I'm doing this way, that is to say as a collage. My ideas are getting increasingly harder and harder to translate into this form, simply because its labour intensive or the assets i need just dont exist in the kny official art i know/have
Anyways. I hope you enjoy anyways <3
Demon!Sanemi (Take Two)
Ok so I didn’t actually like my original Demon Sanemi design (mostly the jacket and face) so I tweaked that.
Demon!Sanemi take two! I feel like his face is much more spooky now, so that’s a plus.
Part 1 of the Hashira as Demons!
And up first is Sanemi Shinazugawa!
Demon Rengoku 🔥
((the kanji i tried to use for his eyes are "to blaze; to burn brightly" & they're most likely terrible i apologize))
@yeehawshira thanks for being such a great friend dude I hope you like it
demon rengoku concept based off of his hunger teehee
