The style and system of Satanic Black Magick put for in EVOKING THE DEMONS OF HELL is of such a natural and direct manner that many of the Ritual observations and Implements found in most systems are defunct in these Workings. However there are a certain number of materials that are required to carry out the Workings of this book. The Ritual Altar is still a useful requirement although not an essential one as in some systems, the Initiate may decide to obtain a small chest for to house the various Ritual materials that are required and use this also as their Working Altar, either way a black Altar covering may be used, an Altar Cloth is a traditional implement in most systems but again it is not one that is essential to the Working of Magick. Some Practitioners lay the cloth upon the ground and use it in this manner, there are no set rules in Magick other than those which have been created by pedantic Ceremonial pompous elitists. Practitioners never practice in normal lighting from my experience, a better atmosphere is set by candlelight and so a number of CANDLE HOLDERS AND/OR SCONCES will be required for illumination as well as two additional holders to hold the Candles lit in honour of Satan and the Demon(s) being petitioned during any particular Working. THE PARCHMENT TABLET OF AWAKENING and THE BLACK KEY (items specific to the Workings of this book) shall also be required but shall be explained in the next text of this manuscript. PARCHMENT CARD AND PAPER will be required and a healthy stock of it should be maintained as it shall be used in all Workings within EVOKING THE DEMONS OF HELL, a CANDLE SNUFFER to extinguish Ritual Candles at the end of Rites shall also be required. An OIL/INCENSE BURNER will be required should the Initiate seek to burn aromatic scents during their Workings, again this is not a necessity but it does add to form a suitable atmosphere in the Ritual Area and aid in opening the subconscious mind (SANDALWOOD, MINT, PINE or CINNAMON are recommended). A PERSONAL GRIMOIRE containing the Workings of the Magickal system the Initiate is practicing from will also be required . . . it has long been tradition that this should be copied by hand by the Initiate, but in the present day with so many demands on our time I see no reason why this could be replaced by a printed copy of sorts. A small CUTTING BLADE will be needed at times for blood letting and this should only be used within Workings. It is worth pointing out here that anything used in Ritual should only be used in Ritual, for example you should not be using the household biro to pen Pacts or Evocations or eating bowls for Altar bowls. Magickal Implements take on a power of their own, things used for mundane purposes carry mundane energies and should be kept out of the Working area. For use in Workings of a Seership nature a BLACK MIRROR should be obtained (this may be a simple mirror with the glass painted black or a traditional Obsidian Mirror) . . . other Initiates may prefer the PYROMANCER’S SCRYING CANDLE or CRYSTAL BALL. The Initiate should obtain a medium sized METAL BOWL OR DISH for the burning of certain materials which shall become more obvious once the Magickal texts of this manuscript begin. Other items will be required from time to time but these shall be explained (as shall all form of instructions) within the Preparatory Notes which precede each Magickal Text. copyright(c)shanath 2019
