thinking about quincy having a halo for almost the entire show

first a halo of his academic achievements

then a halo made of the bodies of saints (remaking yourself from others’ bodies is one of the many many things i love very much about adamandi)

and then those halos are gone at the end. but the way vincent sits behind and slightly above them is kind of the same

quincy’s halos are always hovering behind him where they cant see them but can always feel their impact. in this one more than the others because vincent is literally holding them.

vincent’s eye patch thing is partly gold and it contributes to the halo effect

and quincy’s halos are always whatever is most important to him and defines who he is as a person. he’s like “i’m going to feel guilty for the rest of my life about everything i did” and vincent is like “no idiot that’s not the important part” and quincy is able to have vincent themself and their love for each other be the most important thing to him — the guilt is still there because quincy but you can’t see those bandages anymore because vincent and quincy are way bigger and they’re holding each other

also with the first two halos they look like when you’re trying to intimidate a big scary animal and they’re protecting quincy and he needs that but vincent and quincy on the stairs are small but vincent is protecting quincy too. like he always wants to.

y'all've thought about the implications of vincent's middle name right? because i've always known what it means (thanks seven years of studying latin) but i never thought it through for some reason?

aurelius means golden so he is? literally the golden boy?? that he is working so hard to become??? and quincy turns them into that????

pls somebody write their dissertation on this and have it on my desk by tomorrow i'm not even joking (i am joking but i would read it)

i cannot stop drawing quincy with a halo and it's a problem because it makes me SAD

they're just a baby and he's been haunted by these saints since they were an even littler guy and now he can see them and i don't like that for him
