I have so many different packs of colored pencils and I constantly tell myself I need to use the ones collecting dust but I almost always end up using some combination of my 4 horsemen packs

Hey Trek artists, just swatched the full set of Derwent Lightfast and the color range is full of earth tones for Klingons, Cardassians, and all things Gashir. Like an expanded Soft Drawing line if you’re familiar with them.
Just remember- Lightfast= oil based, somewhat transparent, lots of layering. Soft Drawing=wax and clay base, very opaque, a few light layers, thick texture when heavy.
Haven't done a portrait since last November but I think I still got it 😀 the challenge I gave myself this time was to use the 5 different brands of Derwent pencils I own, three of which I've never used before even after having them for years. Some were more fun to use than others but I think they gave me a good final result! Whaddya think!
