My ‘Desert KIng’ fig tree was so productive that I tried dehydrating figs for the first time. It took 14 hours but the results are yummy!

Aren’t fresh figs lovely? When you cut them open, the insides have such a swirly fecundity. Here’s a tasty one from my tree, which is a variety called ‘Desert King.’

Yesterday's harvest: purple kohlrabi, desert king figs (our first off our little tree!), huge delicata squash, Gravenstein apple, broccoli. It's getting crazy over there. (Not RNC crazy scary, more like crazy awesome.)
