Kalamurina Wildlife Sanctuary, South Australia: Kalamurina Sanctuary is a nature reserve in arid north-eastern South Australia. The land was established as a sheep station sometime before 1994 and then a cattle station until the early 2000s, called Kalamurina Station. It occupies 6,700 square kilometres. It was acquired in December 2007 by the Australian Wildlife Conservancy to become a nature reserve for biodiversity conservation and wildlife management. There are several threatened species in the sanctuary. Kalamurina borders on the north coast of Lake Eyre North and contains a large proportion of the Lake Eyre catchment. Wikipedia
