Wanted Plots!
The following are plots/storylines/tropes/what-have-you I am interested in pursuing and exploring with Karen (with any and everyone of course; different characters means different interactions with this, so I am not limiting this to just one person).
Fagan Corners: I’d love to explore some stuff with Karen where it deals with her hoping to go to college, her mother passing, and then her being stuck in Fagan Corners and spiraling downwards. I’m always down for the good ol’ high school sweethearts stuff, watching them break up, deal with the drama, and come back together years later. I am also down for something canon divergent where someone meets Karen during that time (and the bad stuff still happens with Kevin of course) but they try to help her out after instead of them just separating for good until years later. Let’s see what we can do.
The Cult: Specifics can be worked out for what kind of cult and whatever but I would love to do some stuff where Karen and your muse or just Karen or whatever goes undercover in a cult and then shit goes really bad at first. Bonus if we write and work in Karen’s former addiction being used against her to the point they force her into relapse and then the aftermath of that.
The Aftermath of Todd: Karen’s relationship with Todd ended…poorly, to say the least. I’d like to explore something where Todd comes to New York with a grudge and an ax to grind and finds Karen. Considering Todd was selling cocaine, he no doubt had a supplier, and with Kevin burning down his home, he probably burned down Todd’s supply…which means Todd owed money to some no doubt nasty people in the end. And because Karen shot him…well, yeah, he’d be just a little mad, right?
Poindexter’s Revenge: So, since Daredevil has been canceled, we will never know what will happen with Dex, aside from the fact that he is Bullseye and has some kind of new spine or something in him now thanks to Fisk breaking his. One thing we do know is he is pissed off that he failed at killing Karen (which doesn’t help when Karen smirked so smugly at him during her perp walk with Brett), which I don’t think would ever sit well with him. I want to explore something where Dex is once more actively hunting Karen. In the comics he does wind up killing her, but only because she sacrifices herself to save Matt. I’d rather not kill Karen (not in that way for fucking sure), but dealing with the aftermath (and Karen knowing she’ll have to kill or be killed again) is something I’d love to explore.
The Gnucci Vendetta: In The Punisher season 1, Frank kills some of the Gnucci family members to keep them from going after Donnie after a botched robbery he is involved in. Karen writes about it for the Bulletin because it looks like a hit on the Gnucci family (not a Punisher hit), and that’s that. In the comics, Isabella “Ma” Gnucci, head of the Gnucci crime family, is one of Frank’s main antagonists who comes after him for killing her sons. I want to explore something where Ma Gnucci comes to New York to deal with the murder of her family and begins a mafioso war because she thinks another family is responsible for the deaths. She goes after Karen at some point, thinking she may have the inside scoop, and Karen has to deal with the head of the Gnucci family potentially wanting her dead or worse.
The Trial of Karen Page: Karen being arrested and put on trial for the murder of James Wesley with Fisk pulling the strings from the shadows…Matt & Foggy can’t represent Karen (judge bars them from doing so).Fisk has someone drug Karen and then films her killing someone else under grainy footage to further incriminate her for the murder. Footage is doctored to look older to “prove” it existed when James Wesley died. Fisk intends on putting Karen in prison with inmates who hate Daredevil so they can kill her. But also...no visitation either so Karen can only write to people? Her DA is obviously brand new and paid to not try.
General Wishlist Ideas
The following ideas are just general things I am looking for interaction wise.
Newly working sports journalist Karen. Any and all sports. Boxing, UFC, MMA, wrestling, baseball, basketball, give it to me. Give me those cheesy storylines.
But also Karen being in sports journalism and being so Done with it that she switches to crime, so any relationships she’s built through that are now dealing with this change where she is solely based out of NYC and focusing on some probably awful stuff in her career.
Celebrity Karen and any kind of scandal or fake dating from that. This uses a mish-mash of her comic storylines where she was an actress/radio DJ. She goes by an alias only and no one knows her real name unless they are DEEP in her inner circle.
Polyamorous relationships. I am open to any and every thing.
Discussing her trauma with others. Karen often does not do this. Make her talk about it. Make her heal and grow.
Soulmate AUs. I love any and all of them, so come at me if you have an idea and you want to do it.
Karen faking her death and on the run. Maybe it will tie into one of the above plots or whatever, but Karen having to fake her death and then leave. Watch what unfolds with it.
Any supernatural plots focused around Werewolf: The Apocalypse stuff. Werewolves, werebears, all that fun!
