I feel like Artemis was way more redeemable than Desiree yet here we are.

Artemis is a stuck up hypocrite but she's new to the scene and I felt like she could grow. She just wanted to find true friends in the industry and felt like Desiree & MC were trying to use her which isn't half wrong. Her manipulative ass using us for her Two-Faced song was bad but you could see with her friendship with Zoe that she truly is scared of the Hollywood scene and just wants true friends. But she doesn't even see she's a hypocrite bc she uses the same tactics she scared others will use on her. I feel like she could've got a good arc if given instead of being shipped off to Panama (that was so random???)

Desiree on the other hand keeps saying every bad thing she does is "just business" when it's not as seen when we're not even working together anymore and she comes to gloat every time saying she likes to watch MC fail like a "car crash." MC calls her out on how obsessed she is with her about it. She keeps using MCs hard work and takes it for herself. She pretended to be our friend, leaked our schedule to Ratzik, took our friends shares to take over the company I built from the ground up for herself, mocks us every turn, attempts to use her nepotism to shut us out of awards, drag us into war with Artemis because of her jealousy over Zoe. She's so possessive over Zoe that it's not even cute. She's not even sorry and said she would do every manipulative skeevy thing she's done to MC again because she is loyal to her family like that, which I actually respect in a way, but also why I can't be friends with her and hate they forced me to help her. As annoying as she is, she's a good rival. A very good rival. But I'll NEVER accept her as a friend and I HATEEEE that they tried to do that.

I don't know if she gets a redemption arc later but I don't care. I will NEVER forgive her.

In the Level 14 main quest “A Chance for Love,” Zoe clearly says that she and Desiree became friends after Desiree was the only person who showed up to get matching tattoos with her after they finished filming a movie together. That made both of them sound cool and hardcore. But now, their backstory has been changed so that it’s fluffier and more cliche :(

If they wanted the fluffy “high school best friends” cliche to be canon, they should have said so earlier. This just feels like backtracking, transparent fan service to me :(

(If you can’t sense it from this post, I hate it when creators forget about or outright reboot/delete established canon. You should have seen how annoyed I was when they made Mewtwo a GIRL! Ugh. I’m still annoyed about that!)
