Yesterday was the worst day in time management ever. I need to stop getting so lazy. Luckily, the instructor didn't noticed the lack of information. Still, very bad in my case.
She gave me pretty good insight on what I can improve/develop.
It's kind of hard to talk to others in my studio now that my project is heading on its own direction as in time frame, subject, due dates. My project this time is a risk, but what more can we learn from if we don't take risk, I think. My proposed topic is on semiology. Instructor made me realized that architectural design doesn't solely has to be translated/fix through a three dimensional form. What I'm working and was asked to do until the end of the project 01 review & final pin up is to redesign these signs existed in the site. Little things I think can make huge differences. Slight changes like colors, dimensions and location. Hopefully, I'll be able to develop my project well enough to be proud of for once.
desk crit #4's feedback:
- rearrange the diagram done last time; ex. on scale dots of people, show proximity, direction of path heading towards, speed of people
- to use the frame of the bridge as a timeline of speed
- create the perfect flow, and use it as a comparison towards experiments
- create powerpoint format of history in rules on walking path in Thailand; must be narrative as a fluid in motion and time
self's to do list in order:
- work on original basis of walking (perfect flow)
- work on original path, grid, grid + middle, inverse arrow, yellow arrow's people's paths overlayed (as a comparison)
- focus on people's personal space through selection of clips & translate into diagrams
Now that I'm not working with things in 3 dimensional form, I've had to make sure I work extra hard in site analysis and the psychological analysis based on the semiotics. More diagrams, more video edittings. If I fail to do so, I'll be perished :( One less step means, one more step in another area. Gotta get things going. So much things to do and one more desk crit until pin up in 7 days.
Other note, needs to go sleepover at friend's house today to work on structural span. Damn :( me no like at all.
