Listen, I've read this story like 10 times already and I absolutely adore it. The way you write characters is honestly lovely. Super fun and interesting spin on them. The werewolf idea for the hound!? Genius! I love it. Just. So cool ^^

I had to ask if you are planning to continue writing it?

okay, this blog has been inactive for a while and i haven't update des docs in probably over a year, so i do want to clear the air. my answer: maybe????

i started writing des docs when i was fourteen and. well i think it shows. there's a lot of plot holes that keep me up at night, story beats i would alter, whole characters and plot points i would change or cut (for example, if i were to start fresh, i would probably make lucy a wholly original character, since she strays so far from the musical). overall, i am proud of the work that i've done, i don't think i would have the skill that i do as a writer without this project. and i'm glad folks like you and others have enjoyed what i've created and think my own takes on these characters that have been done again and again are still compelling. it genuinely means a lot to me. and i do miss des docs, a lot!!!!!

so as it stands, i really have no idea what i want to do with it going forward. that's an unsatisfactory answer, i know, but it's the truth. i intended to finish it before i got into college, and i'm now in my second year, so. lol.

if i were to start des docs fresh, while preserving the original version on ao3, would that be something people would be interested in? there is certainly more story to tell, with a definite ending in mind, but a large part of me wants to refine what already exists.

but in the end, thank you to everyone who ever read desperate doctors and enjoyed it. this goofy lil monster mash still means the world to me, and i'm glad it can me something to other people too.
