I always have to stop and stare at it for a while when I stumble across it.

i always thought it would be fun(ny) to do a lifeguard au because what else am i going to do with my past lifeguard experience, and @archervale's piece fucking got me. aside from killer shading with markers, it's a great tableau. their asses are NOT guarding.

dean and cas making out in the guard room and all their coworkers talking shit behind their backs ftw (real event).

y’all i made my first ever dtiys, based off of this piece from @hornystiel for phase two of the Destiel DTIYS challenge and y’all i am so fuckin impressed with myself (og art also under the cut)

like what do you mean i made this??? all in one day no less (probably took about 7ish hours). i even added dean’s freckles!! like i am entirely self taught and my method is trial and error until something works, plus i’ve got chronic pain so i have to adapt my drawing set up so i don’t completely fuck myself over. gah just i’m proud of myself and that’s still wild to me

anyway shoutout to @destieldtiyschallenge for giving me the opportunity to recreate this kickass piece from lana. i’m probably going to be super sore tomorrow but fuckin worth it

the way @mischieviem drew wings with harsh lighting and so many colours was incredible so i tried my hand at it for @destieldtiyschallenge. a different vibe than the original (which i can stare at for more than i already have), but i'm glad i challenged myself with the colouring!

okay so you know how sometimes you see something and your last braincell spontaneously combusts? that happened to me when I saw what @szlez does, and I had to repurpose the lineart I scrapped from that previous @destieldtiyschallenge post I did of @sailorsally's art into a linocut. process and fussing under the cut.

I hadn't done any lino in a while and the lines and blocks threatened to confuse me, so i painstakingly carbon copied the outline of every line and then went over it all with sharpie for good measure. was too lazy to tint the lino before carving and just YOLO'd it.

realised i can keep the background block as a puzzle piece and so I did! the little white triangle at the bottom also should've been red, but uhhhhh it was small and I had already tossed the piece out.

and here's without the background. I now noticed that I missed carving one line, but I won't point it out in case it only bugs me and nobody else.

and a single nice picture because i had my camera out for a moment.

It seems I can't free myself from @destieldtiyschallenge - so here's another one. This time I carved this gem by a true master - @sheepstiel. I hope I managed to convey all the orignal emotions into lino carving.
