"Long ago, the multiverse existed. Every AU lived its own life, and their safety was guarded by the Star Sanses, who protected everyone from the Bad Sanses.
There was balance. And nothing could disturb it… until one day.
In Hakertale, the coronation of the king’s youngest son took place. His name was Error. Yet his heart was corrupted — filled with a thirst for murder and destruction.
He was the first to break the balance, spreading death and ruin wherever he went. Not even the Star Sanses were able to stop him.
That is why Error’s former student, Shifter, created Towntale for the good of the multiverse — a hidden AU meant as a refuge for the survivors.
The tyrant’s life was ended by Nightmare. In Towntale he was proclaimed king and hero, but it quickly became clear that he was no better than his predecessor. He spread negativity across the entire multiverse, while Shifter took power in Hakertale and completely cut himself off from Towntale.
Yes… those were hard times.
But let us focus on the present. Today Towntale is ruled by the wise and just King Dream, and its inhabitants — after Nightmare’s reign — have grown very, *very* fond of fights, battles, and constant militarization.
As your humble and handsome narrator, I will begin this story a few years later, on the anniversary of Killer’s mysterious disappearance…"
